Solvang is a quaint town with a very slow moving atmosphere. It's great to be in a place where you can truly get away from work, life etc. And truly relax by going wine tasting, hiking and just enjoying a delicious meal with your loved one's.

Best restaurant in Solvang is Osteria Grappolo, across the street and down a bit. Great food, reasonable prices. Aebleskiver is good for lunch. Shopping -- Fairy & Frog is enchanting; Picket Fences and for antiques go to Pieces of the Past.

Cute and beautiful town! A friendly shopkeeper told us that we arrived in the middle of an unprecedented tourist rush - half the restaurants were closed and the other half had lines spilling into the street (1hr+ waits for breakfast).

"Whole staff is nice and professional. Helpful. Felt safe here. My car keys were in a ring attached to my shorts and somehow came off. They were returned to the office where I was called to come get them. So thankful! Definetly will stay here again and also recommend to friends and family!"
