"I was much taken by the general cosiness engendered by both the appointments and the proprietor/trix. The cleanliness of the room will satisfy those of the most fastidious nature and the food, whilst simple, was most excellently prepared and presented. It was a pleasure to discourse in the bar with the proprietor(s) whose range of interests and experiences made for excellent company. It is my true hope that circumstances will lead me to stay again."

"Well-appointed cottage that was once a stable block. Very nicely renovated with all the essentials that you need in a vacation home. Welcome pack (including a small bottle of milk!). Comfortable bed. Wood burning stove plus electric heaters. Set on its own behind the main house, it is visited by sheep grazing on common land and deer coming down to visit. Beautiful part of the country and well recommended for those wanting tranquility and calm (no tv!). "

Due to a booking error, I was able to book the accommodation even though they were closed.
Brian still gave us a warm welcome and upgraded our room free of charge.
He gave us tips for a good restaurant and even made a reservation for us!
The breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared.
