"We stayed at Scandic Parken for 2 nights with our 18 month old daughter and it was an excellent base to explore Ålesund. Parking was very convenient with a door leading from the car park straight to the hotel elevator. We were able to check in early and the requested cot was already set up in our room. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable with a bath, which is ideal with a little one! Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Ålesund....

"We were given bedding but no pillowcases. We were asked if we wanted towels and were only given 1 bath towel each. No wash clothes and no hand towels. We had a little kitchen, but were not given a towel for the kitchen. The pillow was horrible, very flat and lumpy. Site said blackout curtains, but they were just black curtains that light could shine through. Otherwise the location and cabin were good. "

Dessverre vi fikk rom ved siden av inngangsdøra. Det var varmt og vi kunne ikke åpne vinduene på grunn av røyklukt. Røyke plassen var rett utenfor. Det var alltid noen der som røyka til ut på natt.
Det luktet mugg på badet og noe i leiligheten når vi kom. Vann renner ut fra dusjen.
Soverommene er små, lite plass til å gå rundt senga. Det står lystette gardinen, men gardinen er for smale og dårlig montert, det var lyst hele natta. Lyset fra utelyset lyste også...

"Due to delayed flights, I arrived at 02:20 hours but was greeted by a warm and friendly lady on reception who completed the check-in in a friendly manner and offered a hot drink. I had booked a standard room ideally with a sea view. That was not possible as the hotel was full however she advised me to return at 1200 the following day and they would try and upgrade. My twin standard on the 5th floor was perfectly adequate but just looked straight across the street at windows opposite so not really possible to open the net curtains and just a rooftop view. The bed and bathroom was comfortable. I spoke to reception the next day and was upgraded to a superior room on the 6th floor overlooking the harbour and Aksla which was delightful! The climate control in the room was very effective and responsive. The room itself was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast offered a wide selection and the hot food offerings were the same for the 4 mornings I was there. Staff clear away items very quickly once you have finished with them. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again. "
