Mackinac Island is our happy place, we try to make it for a few nights at least once per year. We highly recommend getting off main streets and checking out the interior of the island. There's so much a lot of people miss. So peaceful and historic.

Best fudge I've ever had - go to Murdick's (the original). The Carriage Tour was excellent. It's an incredibly beautiful island with the flowers and greenery. The negatives are that it's expensive, crowded, and smells like horse poop.

Beautiful and tranquil in the evening. A little crowded during the day time with day time visitors. There's lake cruise ships now too. Been visiting every year and have observed It's getting a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

The island is exceptionally hard to get to and this area of Michigan is very rural, but the island itself is nothing but old world charm. If you are undaunted by the two-lane highways and sitting behind a string of slow-moving campers it is worth it

We love Mackinac Island and it's such a blessing to have something so beautiful right in our own backyard in Michigan. It truly is a destination that everyone should check off of their list if they are traveling through northern Michigan.

Super expensive and gives a Disney like feel. Lots of people who have little to no Patience. The island is very pretty, but basic.

"Staff was friendly & helpful, didn’t bring bathing suits but the hot tub with waterfall looked amazing, loved sitting on the 2nd floor front porch, while waiting on checking time & after dinner"
"Great location just a few minutes from the busy downtown. Beautiful hotel and great breakfast. Watched the story of the hotel on the tv and it really made the whole experience more memorable."
"We loved the outdoor seating and fire pits all around the property. It was a short walk to the marina and shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and polite. I would book the property again."
"Great place for a quiet vacation. Close to shopping and dining. Breakfast was fine, just wish there was more fruit to pick from. The bed was great but the bathroom was quite small. Be prepared to make things work 😄 Would highly recommend Pine Cottage 👍"
"The staff was very helpful at check in and gave us a second day at a good price. They offered a shuttle to the boat docks when they heard us making plans to head over there. "
"The staff was extremely friendly & courteous. Our room was upgraded and was nice. Only negative was people were smoking right outside the doors. This is not something the hotel staff could really do anything about though. "
