"We really enjoyed the stay. The room was comfy and clean. An overnight trip isnt long enough to fully enjoy the area. The Dahlonega resort and winery is beautiful. Be sure to turn right out of the driveway, go about a mile and visit Kaya winery. "

"Bed bugs in our room, no breakfast even though it was pictured online, WiFi access but was no given password, sheets were not cleaned, blanket on bed had a sticky candy spot on it. But again, there were bed bugs in our room. It was terrible "

"The property was nice overall and check in was very quick. The walls are very thin though and we could hear our next door neighbors speaking in a general conversation. They had a young child that woke up early and they woke us up."

"The location is great as it is directly on the town square. Mike was very helpful in the self check in process. This particular room, The Vineyard, has close proximity to the outdoor 2nd floor restaurant balcony and it was a bit loud, as they put the chairs up at night, around 9:30. With that said, the room is still charming and everything else outweighed this short lived inconvenience. We reserved this room last year, so we knew what to expect. We love Dahlonega! We drive up three or four times a year. There are great dining options and an adorable walkable square with various shops and eateries. It is especially beautiful at Christmas with all the lights and decorations.

Busy but yet relaxing. Enjoyed the Bluegrass music and songs sung at the square and the shops and the local musicians that sat in front of different store frontage. Overall beautiful anniversary getaway

Historical gold mining center in 1800's. Summer heat in July was brutal-free water dispensaries and water fountains would have helped cool the downtown areas

Loved the downtown area but hard to find parking and even if you go to dinner early there will be a 2-3 hour wait

I enjoyed the little shopping area near West Main Street. I did takeout from a seafood restaurant and ate in my room. It was definitely a college town with touristy places to go. There were a lot of fast food places. The people from the area were nic

We didn't love downtown Dahlonega (very kitsch), but the surrounding area was beautiful and had lots of options for wineries!

Dahlonega was a great and beautiful place to visit. My wife and I will be back!
"We stayed 3 nights and it was Amazing. The hotel front desk peeps were extremely friendly. The rooms were updated and clean. I loved that it was in walking distance to everything (downtown Helen, shopping, dining, site seeing). We will definitely be coming back. "
"This is our third time staying here. We keep coming back because the staff is so welcoming and the rooms are so comfortable and clean. A great value! They recommended a local winery and we ABSOLUTELY loved it!!! We'll be back again!!"
"Front desk employee was amazing. She checked us in and also printed/shared the history of Helen. She was very sweet. The breakfast employee was also sweet and polite.
The building is outdated in places, it can use an outdoor facelift ans new windows.
The pool area can use some fresh paint and a good pool cleaning and painting update.
The bathrooms were clean and updated. The room were clean, but can also use some updated paint and fresh flooring.
We wish we had more time to explore the history and visit shops.

"It felt personal and friendly, not just a random place. The owner is wonderful, right there for anything you may need. Make sure you go to The Dugout!
I highly recommend this lodge and I look forward to returning. "
"Had a great stay, all the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and tody in all areas i vistied. Room was in great condition and clean and well equipped. "
"Loved the fitness room! Was a bit larger than most with 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical, bike and free weights, kettlebells and 2 benches. Usually the gyms are tiny but there were 4 people in there and we all had room! "
" This is a newer hotel and it shows — everything is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable, with a spacious and stylish bathroom that feels upscale. Housekeeping keeps everything spotless, and the atmosphere throughout is fresh and welcoming.
The location is great, with several nice restaurants just a 2-minute walk away. While the hotel does offer breakfast, it’s limited and overpriced compared to the many better options within a 2-minute drive.
The only real drawback is the $15/day parking fee, which feels unnecessary given the area.
Overall, I had a great stay and would happily return. With just a few tweaks to the breakfast and parking policies, it would easily be a five-star experience."
"The property is well maintained and it's age gives it charm. Breakfast is a variety of easily prepared or ready to eat items. Although most people prefer to go out for breakfast. The bed was nice and there was always hot water. Water pressure good too."
"Hotel was a great location for the event that I was attending. Staff was outstanding. Hotel was clean but wish the breakfast was a little better. Over all hotel was great! Will stay here again!"
"Alpine was excellent. Pearson at the front gate was great and all smiles. They had instructions and guidance for everything and so close to Main Street. Family loved it. Would definitely go back. Thank you!"
"What an absolutely pleasant surprise to see the lodge after driving down the hill. It’s nestled in the woods and is just darling. Inside is beautiful; welcoming and warm, clean and our host kelly was the best. Loved chatting with a few of the guests in the morning over coffee. Beautifully curated antiques fill the common area.
Our room upstairs was just what we needed; nice and cool, super comfortable bed with fabulous sheets that felt luxurious!
I can’t wait to go back."
