"Cannot say enough good things about this monastery. The food was top notch. So healthy and delicious. Our best meals in Japan (vegan food that will amaze you- and we are not even vegan)! The staff is so kind and welcoming. Do not miss the chanting ceremony in the morning. Loved the room with its traditional Japanese experience and garden view. Perfect location across the street from the temple complex. Don’t miss walking around it at night. Breathtakingly beautiful."

Since people are coming to experience a true Japanese style of living, be sure to attend the morning prayer service, and the fire ritual. "The hotel was amazing, the room is surprisingly spacious, even though it looks small, your big luggage can be stored under your bed (if you're not bringing your partner). The staffs were friendly and kind, despite being some language barrier. Breakfast were good too, they always changed them everyday. And the area was extremely calm and quiet, it's more like a local area. The hotel was also a bit brand new, maybe 2 years old? Easily walkable to the station. And some nearby some shops.
