Amazing stay just outside San Gimignano!

Every thing was just perfect. From the warm welcome, to the amazing view from every corner in this place, to the delicious food, and much more. The staff is so kind and helpful. The pool is amazing, with amazing view and lots of places to lay down and chill. Really special calm atmosphere in every corner. We will definitely come back…

I cannot say enough good things about Il Segreto di Pietrafitta. Pedro and Diego are about as friendly and accommodating as anyone can be. The rooms and the grounds were very clean and well appointed. Their attention to detail from the heart on our bedspread when we arrived to the umbrella stands outside our door told us right away we had chosen someplace special. The gourmet dinners were outstanding and the outdoor dining with views of the vineyards, olive groves and San Gimignano across the valley made the our stay that much more enjoyable. There is a gravel road to Il Segreto that is short but steep in places. The road continues past Il Segreto to the top and across the hill and in the evenings or mornings I would go for a walk along the road and look at the beautiful Tuscan countryside below. We used Il Segreto as a jumping off point to visit San Gimignano, Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano and Volterra. My only complaint (and I had to think hard before I came up with one) is that Dante, their big German Shepard was a little shy and would rather lazy behind Pedro's desk than come to me so I could scratch him behind the ears.

What an amazing stay my girlfriend and I had at IL Segreto. How do I start describing how fantastic it truly was? The first thing I can think of was THE FOOD. We stayed for four days, three nights and attended their free breakfast service, and two of their dinner services. The food was beyond amazing and quite creative. The breakfast had plenty of options of sweet and savory. The quiches were all really good and the bruschetta was straight up addicting. We followed it up with some of their homemade pies and cakes.. I’m drooling just thinking of them. The dinner services had four courses and they were all quite different and really good. Thinking about it now, it was probably my favorite meals during our stay in Italy. The prices were unbelievable for what we were given, and the service were all super friendly! The hotel was really close to the main road. There is a small unpaved road, due to government restrictions as I was told, that leads to the hotel. Yet, it’s only a 2 minute drive on that unpaved road, and even our rental, which was really low, had no problem making it. Once you arrive you will see the very charming hotel. The host gave us a very warm welcome. He was fantastic throughout our stay. He helped us get around, and locate vineyards and restaurants during our day trips. We never felt rushed and always welcomed us with a smile. Once we were brought into our room, we were pleasantly surprised how well maintained it was. It was roomy and the views.. wow

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful place. The staff are amazing and so welcoming from the moment you arrive. The rooms are stunning and huge! The pool, bar, restaurant and general ground are just amazing. The view is stunning and the sunset not to be missed! The breakfast was super yummy, the dinner in the evening was delicious! I cannot fault our stay at all, we had a lovely time, we would love to go back and would recommend staying here to anyone! Really special experience.

Simplesmente sensacional. Vista privilegiada de San Gimignano. Excelente estrutura, no padrão da Toscana. Atendimento personalizado, com extremo cuidado e cordialidade. Wir waren für 10 Nächte im Il Segreto di Pietrafitta untergebracht und haben diese Zeit sehr genossen. Das ganze Team ist super freundlich und sehr bemüht alle Fragen zu beantworten und Tipps bzgl. Unternehmungen, Wein-Tastings etc. zu geben. Das Frühstück und die Abendessen (wir waren an 3 Abenden dort) waren sehr lecker und haben unseren Vorstellungen mehr als entsprochen. Nachmittags gab es für alle Gäste am Pool-Bereich Melone gereicht. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass die im Internet gezeigten Bilder tatsächlich der Realität entsprechen!!! Wir haben uns sehr erholt und werden sicher wieder dorthin verreisen! Das Il Segreto di Pietrafitta ist absolut zu empfehlen!
