You need a car to have easy access to this hotel. Also, they don’t provide Kettle in room so it was rather annoy if you want to make tea, coffee or even a hot water. (Of course they don’t have tea bag or coffee provided in room).
Thus, I would go for another choice if I need to stay in Reykjavík next time...
The front desk personnel was friendly and respectful. The problem we encountered was that the room was very cold and the heater was not working. The hotel was full so we were unable to get a different room with a working heater. Unfortunately we didn't have a choice but to sleep with a lot of clothes on. My hisband and I were offered one drink each for our troubles. That didn't help much. Not a memorable stay. Again, the staff is courteous.

Convenient and excellent customer service.
We thought it convenient to stay in a place that was relatively close to Sky Lagoon and Airport. This seemed to fit the bill and surpassed expectations as there are also shopping malls within a 5 minute drive.

There were no interior locks on the doors for added security. We placed chairs in front of our door each night before going to bed for our own extra security measure. We had never encountered this anywhere else before.
Kind staff but overall not impressed with the property. Many let downs on this trip. Expected a bit more. Not in the best condition although it looks nice upon entry. Seemed like they stopped caring for the appearance of the rooms as there were marks all over the walls which you could tell were likely from the suitcases of past travelers. Towel racks weren’t proper affixed to the walls. Same daily breakfast with no hot options. Pretty much breads and a community bowl of yogurt or jellies. Not what we had hoped for when we opted to spend more here than we would have elsewhere to have the included breakfast. We took the loss and ate out instead.

We were between this hotel and another when we ultimately decided to pay a bit more for having the included breakfast. Upon arrival, we were happy with the overall size of the room/bathroom. Although the condition was a bit rough. The towel was not properly attached and would fall off the wall if you weren’t super careful hanging a towel. The toilet paper holder often fell as well. There was an accumulation of dust behind the heated towel rack but I was happy that the heat on the rack worked very well. Next complaint was that our bedding (more notably the pillowcases) had blood stains. My husband immediately took it out of the room and asked for replacement and while the did quickly retrieve replacements, they offered no apologies and didn’t even acknowledge it at all. Throughout the night we came to realize just how paper thin the walls were. We could hear people talking in neighboring rooms. We could even hear a person’s phone repeatedly vibrating all hours of the night. The next morning we were looking forward to breakfast and getting out of the hotel. The breakfast bar was without a doubt the worst offering we have seen of anywhere we’ve ever stayed and there was absolutely no hot meal options. We were very disappointed. Honestly, we would have checked out and stayed elsewhere but our stay was non refundable. The only redeeming quality was the hotel staff. They were very kind and helpful. Housekeeping did come mop our floors daily and organize the room.
