10/10 Stay. Highly recommend!

Amazing location. We were an hour early for check in and the front desk gentleman was extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed in Room 8 and as soon as we walked in, the view was like a dream. Gorgeous overlook of Depoe Bay. The room had anything we needed, a small kitchen, binoculars, and a comfy bed. Perfect spot for walking to the main shops or a peaceful overlook. The complimentary breakfast was perfect before heading out to whale watch.

If you can sleep anywhere, you’ll love it.

Quaint, older motel with awesome views, but if you are seeking a good night’s sleep, hard pass. Older construction makes conversations next door or up stairs easy to hear. Road noise from HWY 101 drowns out the ocean waves. Ambient light floods the room after dark, even with the blackout blinds pulled, and the green blinking light from the smoke detector, well, that’s a special feature. On the positive side, easy walk to Depoe Bay businesses and restaurants. Beautiful private beach, large rooms, and simple breakfast included. Note: steep ladder/steps to the private beach is not for the frail, young children, or those bothered by heights. It is worth the climb.

Completely run down. Shag carpet very old and had many stains. Television did not work. How it got a 4+ rating is a mystery! Hotels.com should do a better job vetting these properties.

Summer Trip

The view is so amazing! We saw whales right outside the window as we walked in the room. The binoculars were fun to have that they provide. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Not our favorite anymore

We have stayed at the Inn several times and I think this is the first negative/mediocre review I have given. Great location in Depoe Bay near Tidal Waves Restaurant and whale watching. Beautiful view of the water and coastline. This time we were unprepared to have an upstairs room. (Always on the ground floor before and the picture of the room when we made reservation showed ground floor.) We are older and do not do well with stairs. Also there was no bath mat (even when asked) and the tub was very slippery when taking a shower. (Luckily someone in housekeeping, Rikki, brought us a couple decals for the bottom of the tub and it did help.) The shower/tub was deep and had no grab bars. Finally, the room was on the end of the building closest to the highway and it was very, very noisy. In the past we enjoyed the sounds of the water and even heard a whale blow hole. This time it was trucks, cars, motorcycle noise going all day and well into the night.

We love the location, staff was helpful, the little breakfast items were good. Room looked recently upgraded and it was clean and nice...we had a couple minor items to report, but owner was helpful and took care of it. The building is old, built in 1949 or so, and the walls are thin and resulted in hearing some noise from other rooms. Overall, we love the location.

Check in was fast and easy, as I had a reservation. The room however was like walking into your grandma’s spare bedroom. Nothing like the pictures on the listing. It was clean, just old. The outside of the entire motel was exactly like the pictures, only moldy. The only true to life pictures are of the bay and the ocean. And this room cost 3 times more than any of the other rooms I booked for my Oregon coast trip. Mostly disappointed.

The room was fresh, redone, comfortable, and great veiw. Service was also great!! Breakfast well accomadated. Games and puzzles etc. Access to private beach. Lovely! Outdoor facility could use a refresh. Overall, highly rated.
