The hotel room was not cleaned thoroughly 3 days out of 6. When we first arrived there were traces on the mirror as well as water stains on the table and footprints on the floor. I really enjoyed the spa, the staff was very nice and accomodating. Indra was really professionnal and kind. We also especially enjoyed the Naan each evening at the buffet. The chef at Zest went out of his way to make some for us and was really nice. The breakfast was also really good and we always had a great selection of food. All in all the stay was fun at Kandima.

With one day to go we were bitten by bed bugs in quite a sever way and we have brought it home in our suitcases.. It is really not good, and effecting us all at our home now, and we are having to get exterminators out.

Be sure to order on the sunset side if you like a better possibility Of swimming In the lagoon. On Sunrise side, there is a Big Rocky fence and a lot Of noise From the waves breaking.

This place is absolutely stunning. Clear blue water, plenty of sea life and lot of activities for kids of all age. The staff here are very approachable and greet the guest with a smile. The rooms are clean and bed is equipped with best mattress you can get. Our family had an absolute cracking time even though it’s rained a lot on one of the days. The staff arranged lot of indoor activities for the kids, which allowed the grown up to have a great time as well. We stayed 5 night but I would recommend at least 7 days or more. You will never get tired of majestic view and serene deep blue water. I would rate our stay more 5 stars!. Rest assured, we will be back here again!

The location and premises are great, especially for kids. Our AC was broken and did not get fixed until the fourth day and third attempt. Once it was fixed, no question whether it was fixed or not was asked. Hence, no compensation was offered which is not a pleasant service, especially given the fact that 3/4 got sick due to the AC. Service with restaurant bookings can absolutely be improved as they are not effective and most restaurants have empty tables every evening.

The resort is tidy, clean and well organized (activities and restoration). The island, the beach, the sea and the reef are just perfect as you wish. Kandima staff (ALL) is amazing. Always there to satisfy your request and to keep the island as it is. I really thank ALL of them for giving me and my family a wonderful experience. I just had some difficulties to contact them for the local transfer (Male to Kandima) after booking my vacation but I really recommend Kandima for your vacation. If possible, choose all inclusive, it's worth it!

A Stunning Island with Room for Improvement – Honest Review of Kandima Maldives We recently stayed at Kandima Maldives and, while the island itself is absolutely stunning and the surroundings nothing short of paradise, there were unfortunately several aspects of our stay that left us feeling disappointed – especially considering the amount we spent. Let’s start with the positives: The setting is truly breathtaking – turquoise waters, white sands, and beautifully maintained grounds. Our accommodation was comfortable and well-designed, and the staff were generally friendly and professional. The food was delicious, with a good variety across restaurants, and the resort offered a good mix of activities and relaxation. However, as beautiful as the island is, there are definitely areas where Kandima falls short – especially when it comes to value for money and customer experience. Firstly, everything is priced without tax and service charges. You’ll be quoted a price, but then a 10% tax and a non-negotiable 16% service charge are added on top – which means you’re paying an additional 26% on everything. This significantly inflates costs. We were on a bed and breakfast package and in hindsight, we really should have opted for all-inclusive. Prices on the island are extortionate – $9 for a Coke, $9++ for a beer, and simple lunches or dinners quickly rack up. We ended up spending close to $3,000 just on food and drinks over the course of our stay. When we enquired about switching

By far the most engaging and friendly staff I've ever met especially the folks in the Flavour restaurant. Everyone was so kids friendly and always engaging nicely with our kids. On the other hand I think compared to other 5 star hotels we've visited, Kandima lacks the excellence especially when it comes to quality of beverages/food (and don't get me wrong the food was nice but not 5-star nice). I personally found the price for fresh coconuts ~6 USD ridiculous as this is the only thing that grows everywhere on the island. The location itself is amazing, beach is picturesque and looks amazing on Instagram as well as the perfect sandbox for babies and toddlers. If say Kandima is great but definitely not 5 star when it comes to quality and excellence.

Nightmare Holidays

Worst experience possible from check-in to check-out. They did not honor the commitment made in the advertisement on Hotéis.com, causing us a huge aditional cost. I sent 3 messages within the Hotéis.com app, but Kandima claimed that they did not clarify the cost of the promotional transfer since they would not receive messages within the Hotéis.com platform. However, all the requested documents were sent through this platform. They tried to make us delete the negative review we left on other site of ferino us a room upgrade, but since we did not accept, they left us without any compensation for the transfer. At check-out, there was an undue charge for the minibar, which we did not even use.

Definitely do not recommend the service was terrible the staff was rude and terrible. Way way over priced biggest scam. They don’t communicate at all with each other for anything meaning we payed all exclusive for a bungalow on the water, they charged us for everything and anything the food made me sick for 2 days. The only thing that was good was the fruit! That’s it! What we payed for was suppose to everything included Then when we showed our email explaining why are we paying so much more money when you didn’t say anything about nothing included on your website they said things were our fault that we didn’t get an email, instead of taking responsibility how poor the staff and service was. Our last day They also made us check out in the morning came to our room unannounced when me and my fiancé were still sleeping so we had a rush to get everything out because they messed up our flight info going back to the airport again also said was our fault and lied saying they don’t talk with the airport when they do check out was not until noon. Very disappointed we will NEVER BE COMING BACK! They definitely did not like Americans we were being followed around and nobody else was. Very uncomfortable frustrated experience this was not a cheap vacation instead of enjoying we were stressed out. Not right did nothing to make things right. Please don’t waste your time and money coming here.
