We stayed at the Park Hotel and unfortunately found it to be quite outdated. The air conditioning was a constant issue — it would only run for about five minutes at a time. We called several times for assistance, but nothing was ever done to resolve the problem. The screen was ripped out of the door, so we couldn’t leave it open to enjoy fresh air without letting bugs in. The food was disappointing across the board, from the free continental breakfast to the buffet and tavern options. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location — it’s centrally located to many attractions and just steps away from the Natural Bridge, which was incredibly convenient. Overall, the location was ideal, but the accommodations and food left a lot to be desired.

We enjoyed the space of the executive cottage. The lights on the path from the cottages to the Lodge were on during the day, but not in the evening when we walked back to the cottage, perhaps the timer is set wrong?

Beautiful park

Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The balcony was lovely. The breakfast buffet was ok, but somewhat limited in options. The pool wasn’t open, understandably, but the walk from the lodge would have been daunting. Many many steps.

The positive is the convenient location and spaciousness. Many negatives. Cabin smelled very musty, poor lighting- only 1 lamp in the large bedroom and large living area, dishwasher still had dishes in it, dish detergent but no scrubber, no paper towels, no decaf coffee in room or available from the check in desk, multiple light switches with no known function.

Great for the outdoor enthusiast.

We reserved the last accomodation that they had which was a cottage. It was clean but musty smelling. Furniture was old. The bed was comfortable. 31 steps from the parking area to the cabin. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Natural Bridge getaway.

For an older state park property this lodge was outstanding. The room was super nice and we had a porch with a forest view. Included breakfast was standard food, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy. Make your own waffles. Toast and cereals. We had dinner there for a very reasonable price. The food was great. I would visit again if there weren't so many other places to go.

restroom could use some update/toilet was very low/and loose. a hand held shower would be nice/beds were very comfy slept very good i expected the pool to be open were there last week of aug.pool should have been open,

Staff was helpful in getting and changing accommodations for a second night's stay. We found the breakfast buffet was far better than a different Kentucky State Resort Park's breakfast. Our cabin was very nice and clean. Overall our stay at Red River Gorge Resort Park was excellent.

Air conditioning did not work well. When calling front desk was told nothing could be done. The floors where dirty if walking bare foot bottom of feet black

Not happy because of air conditioning.

Air conditioning was not working. Unit in ceiling and was leaking onto counter & floor. Maintenance came but did not fix, could not adjust temperature setting. I was told set to 70 degrees and could not change. I told front desk it was cooler in hallways, was not offered another room. I went and bought two fans because could not sleep. Room temperature was not 70 degrees. Door was swelled pretty bad, had to use shoulder to open from outside. It is older hotel. Was told at check out they probably did not have any other rooms available is why I wasn't offered another room. They gave me 25% credit, which paid for the fans. It is a nice area and views around hotel. Would have enjoyed if air conditioning was working right.

Room was nice, smelled good. Bathroom needs updated. A little musky in the main area. Overall the room was comfortable. We would stay again due to the convenience of hiking.
