I had a wonderful stay! The staff was so kind and friendly. The room was comfortable and quiet. The terrace was gorgeous. A great place to have coffee in the morning and do a little reading. Location was also perfect. Everything I wanted to do was a quick 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.

I didn’t have the chance to eat their breakfast. The room was clean and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room doors have grille so if you want a lot of privacy that might be an issue. It’s not see through but you can hear through it. Also my room had an open grill above the shower where mosquitos got in so I had to be sure to leave the door closed. The location was great for me. A few blocks away and slightly uphill from centro. I would stay here again.

We really enjoy this hotel, the bed was very confortable, the room was very clean , the staff very attentive and friendly, the only thing was the little ants but the staff resolve the issue immediately, if you are planing to visit Oaxaca we recommend 100 % the azucenas hotel !

Very old worldly, rustic, bohemian and romantic( no tv). Did not miss the AC, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the place very charming and location is walking distance from downtown but away from the noise and crowd.

The Azucena is a really sweet hotel with a wonderful 2nd story garden patio that looks out over Oaxaca and the beautiful mountains surrounding it. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and our room was clean and taken care of each day. We loved our stay there!

Great hotel in a quiet spot with friendly staff!

Our stay at Hotel Azucenas was fantastic. The hotel is a lovely traditional Mexican style. The location is great, about a 10 minute walk to the main square, a being a little distance away its much quieter than other hotels. All of the staff (and the resident turtles!) were super friendly, always happy to go above and beyond. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay there again in s heartbeart.

Hotel Azucenas

The boutique hotel was very quaint and it offered a rooftop deck. The rooms were clean and maid service was provided everyday. They also offer a Continental breakfast for a small fee, per person. We also had the option of storing a few drinks and some food in the community fridge in the upstairs kitchen. Overall it was about 6 blocks to the town center. I would stay again.

An Oasis in Oaxaca

I loved our stay at Hotel Azucena. The location is ideal, within walking distance of everything but on a quiet street. The rooftop is incredible and just what you want after a day exploring the city - a perfect place to drink a beer and watch the sunset. There is a fridge with cold drinks for purchase and breakfast is available in the morning for a small charge. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. The value for money is exceptional. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful small hotel with excellent service.

The staff is awesome at this hotel and it is small cozy. They were patient with me practicing my Spanish with them. During my stay I got food poisoning and I needed to eat, but all I was craving was fruit and I didn’t have any. The young man at the front desk offered to get me some because I was too exhausted to walk to the market. Clara made sure breakfast was ready everything and even offered me homemade tamales. I would definitely stay with them again. The location is good and right next to the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad y La Oaxacaqueña Neveria and 7 blocks from the Zocalo.

Fue una experiencia increíble, la atención fue increíble. El lugar para descansar y vivir Oaxaca en todo si esplendor es el lugar ideal. Queda a 10 minutos caminando de todo el centro de Oaxaca. es un hotel tradicional a unos cuadras del centro, lo que lo vuelve muy tranquilo pero a la vez accesible a pie a todos lados. El personal siempre nos dio un súper buen trato y desde el inicio están dispuestos a ayudarte, resolver y orientarte. Es una casa antigua, pocas habitaciones, por lo que podría parecer para algunos limitada en servicios, pero en general nos gustó mucho. Nos sentíamos seguras y como en casa.
