One night stay

Typical seaside town hotel. Good location and the view over the bay was nice. Room was a decent size. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Room was generally clean but could do with a decent dust and hoover as it showed signs of a long summer season. Main reason for the low rating was down to the external noise during the night which was not the fault of the hotel but we couldn't close the windows as the room was so warm.

Wir haben 6 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und um das Wohl der Hotelgäste sehr bemüht. Es ist kein Fünfsterne-Hotel, aber wer ein Hotel mit bequemen Betten direkt an der Strandpromenade sucht, findet hier ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Parken kann man direkt am Hotel für 6 Euro pro Nacht.

Quick stop

Hotel is very pet friendly and ideally situated by the seafront. The room is fine but very hot even with the fan. Otherwise all good!

While the location is very good the hotel lacks any atmosphere and needs uodating. You can tell its had a lick of paint recently but the floorboards creak loudly, the fixtires in the bathroom were loose and hadnt been cleaned properly. The communal corridoor has avery strong smell of what i think is stale urine. On a positive note the beds and bedding were very clean and comfortable and the lady at reception, who seemed to be the only staff member, was very welcoming and helpful.

Avoid hotel

Room filthy. What looked like blood on the walls. The windows had been cleaned a very long time ago Bed uncomfortable. Bathroom very small & shower fid not drain properly. Ending up ip standing in some yellow water.

Prime position friendly staff

Lovely reception staff, bathroom a tight squeeze. Breakfast was good, location very good. Lift not reliable. Free parking for disabled displaying their Blue badge.

ok types

The breakfast was not a buffett, we cant refill beans or scrambled... That was a bit rude. The rooms were also small and the shower was even smaller - so much so that you can barely stand in that. The good thing was the location as its right opposite beach. Overall, an average experience - definitely not so great

Overall a thumbs up!

Sadly the evening meal choice and standard of the evening meal has dropped over the years. No evening entertainment unless they have a coach party staying was also a sad discovery. Overall the staff are their usual helpful cheery selfs. Breakfast is good. Standard 3 star hotel.

Good stay

All good, no issues room wasn’t like the photos, so very disappointed. Only used the room to sleep as out all through the day. Small bathroom , door in front of the sink so tight squeeze , small shower!

Could have been a lot better

very poor quality refurb only recently complete.Water pressure in shower abismal. Silly children in pop pop cars racing up and down outside in the early hours caused lack of sleep. Good points Staff, Location, Parking, good matresses.

Food was okay, nothing to go overboard about . The room was very small, shower was tiny and coming down stairs smell from gents toilet not good. Staff very friendly. Overall location was perfect.

Public Racetrack on seafront.

Room ok, but public areas tired. Old fashioned lounge and bar furniture etc. Cluttered with old, paint-covered ladders at foot of stairs. All soap dispensers in lobby toilets and room bathroom empty. Breakfast was truly aweful - hard fried eggs, hard bacon etc. Worst was the noise from outside the hotel in the evening, from cars/motorbikes racing up and down the seafront, skidding and revving engines. Appears to be the local antisocial meeting place and racetrack. Do not stay here if you need to sleep before 11pm.
