Gets basics right on facility, not on service
Knew going in that the place would be basic. The main selling point is as a gateway to the ski area. So not disappointed with the facility. The person at the reception though was a study in the kind of personality who should not be interacting with guests. Rude, no knowledge/ not inclined to help with basic local information, dismissive of requests and not even bothered with a sorry when he knocked our door late night and woke us up when he actually had to talk to the folks in the neighboring room. Killed the experience.

Overnight stay while hiking in Rainier. Convenient access to Stevens Pass. Room was clean with a large fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and comfortable bed. Cute lobby with tea and coffee during open hours.

Great location for Mount Rainier NP. Local shop nearby but not much else. Rooms were really good, big and clean, and the air conditioning was good. Only had 1 dryer and 2 washing machines which was not enough for such a big property. The laundry room could have done with a bit of a clean.

The stay was OK. Lobby and front desk were not inviting and the room was a bit dated. Price was high for what you got. Felt safe and the elk that showed up in the evening and morning were the best part!

The room was nice and clean but it was not even close to the Cowlitz River. The staff was not friendly nor helpful - both at check-in and check-out. Will probably not ever stay at this hotel again.

Go enjoy the park then check in.
Very nice place but they are super strict about check in and shorthanded so don't expect to get in early or even right at 3:00. They no longer offer any kind of breakfast. Strange metal bedskirt that klanked every time you sat down or moved. Nice to have AC.
