The motel would been fine for my husband and I but with a young adult and a rainy week she was very bored. The only pool is outdoors and it's not heated. There's no indoor hot tubs or pool. There's no real entertainment for young adults. The room was nice. The only problem we had was the shower door wouldn't stay closed . And it's only a stand up shower . The staff is extremely nice and helpful and we did feel safe.

I stayed in an oceanfront room with 2 queen beds. Spacious and very clean. Open the sliding glass door to the balcony and there’s the pool, the street, then the ocean. This is an older, classic-style beach hotel. They’ve clearly worked hard to remodel and update it. No carpeting - the floors are wood-look vinyl plank and the bathroom is updated with new fixtures. The pillows and beds are clean & comfortable. The fridge is larger than most hotel refrigerators and there’s a microwave which I never used. The room safe is tucked away near the microwave. Some amenities need updating. The towels and washcloths are threadbare. The lock on my balcony door was broken. The door handle is worn with use. There’s a bright security light on the balcony that comes on at night; you’ll need to close the blackout curtains to try to block it. When I closed the curtains I found a piece of dirty, plastic molding propped in the corner. The AC worked well; a newer wall-mounted thermostat was dead as a doornail. There is plenty of parking on site. When you check in, there are extra charges for the key, security deposits, etc. I was told that these extra fees will be returned 3-7 days after I check out. Your room won’t be cleaned if your stay is short unless you request it, for an extra fee. Cabana Shores is clean and comfortable. I just needed a shower and a place to sleep. I feel like this could go from a C+ to a B+ hotel easily with some attention to small but important details.

Love the Beach

Love the retro look and feel of Cabana Shores. Enjoyed our balcony beach front room. Will return again but would like larger bed pillows for the King Bed; bed and bath linens need updating, and a few minor room repairs for room 311. Again, we will be back!!!!

Just go somewhere else

The outside is very run down and while this is listed as a hotel it is more of a motel. The elevator is the creakiest thing I’ve ever heard so I opted for the stairs after the first ride. The inside of the room appeared nice but I had some issues with the cleanliness. I didn’t get settle into my room until almost midnight and upon going to bed I found curly black hairs on my pillow and sheets. I switched to the other bed in my room and there were crumbs in the sheets. I found the same curly black hairs on the bathroom counter. My issue with this “hotel” is that the quality and the cost do not match. I did come on a holiday weekend so the price was inflated but just spend your money elsewhere. You can get better quality for the same price.

The room was not clean, dirty, hair in the "clean" towels. Stained furniture, not wiped down sink and counter. Missing lamp shade, rusty lamps. Stained chair, missing outlet cover.
