Checking in was easy and fast. However with no food available, none of the vending machines worked neither the ice machines. That forced us to purchase snacks in the lobby which were very expensive. The $32 charge for using a debit/credit card is outrageous. We are forced to use cards.

Check in was a wait. Everytime I came down to the lobby there was always a line of people waiting. The AC unit only kept the bedroom cool. The living room where my child slept was hot the whole time. The beds could have been more comfortable. The ice machines were not working. We found a least 4 that were out of order near our room. The things we did like was our room was clean and a nice size. The staff is friendly. The pool is very nice. It’s close to the visitor center. The shuttle is convenient.

great staff, needs work

Hotel really needs some upkeep.A/C was barely working, fridge was about 60 degrees, fold out couch was missing springs, only one ice machine was functional, far away from our room. That being said, the staff responded immediately to address any concerns, they were warm and friendly, and really made the difference between a good experience and the uncomfortable nightmare it could have turned into. The property is lovely, being right next to Visitor Center was really convenient, and everyone we met working there was friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Truly professional, and empowered to solve issues as they came up. Will stay there again, and we'll be looking forward to seeing the planned renovations!

Our biggest complaint is there is Zero and ai mean Zero service in this hotel. We had to go to the Lobby or outside to be able to use our phone. Our Bed was also like sleeping on concrete but other then that it was a nice place.

The place is clean and comfortable.. just needs some upgrades.. the room and bathroom need shelves/ hooks to put items on. The pool is awesome.. nice big outside pool for summer. Service was great… breakfast was okay.. would love to see pancakes/ waffles… the scrambled eggs and turkey sausage were not so good. Close to everything. Yes I would stay here again.

This hotel has so much potential but unfortunately doesn’t seem well invested into. As soon as you walk into the lobby you expect to feel air conditioning. Unfortunately, it is extremely warm with is how it continues in all hallways. The rooms are a bit outdated. Popcorn ceilings, poor water pressure in the shower bc of cheap shower heads. Even with the air conditioning as low as possible the bedroom is able to get comfortable while the bathroom, mid area and sitting room area remain very warm. Seemed like there was a major air conditioning throughout thr whole property. Breakfast was the worst as you couldn’t even sit in the space comfortably because of the heat. There were no warm foods available the whole time we waited, no eggs, no sausage, etc. Very convenient location and a good price but not sure it was worth dealing with the best throughout this whole property and this is the beginning of June when it was only in the 80’s. Can’t imagine staying here in the mid summer.

No idea why this hotel is so highly rated. It is very old and run down with several abandoned buildings looking like they belong in "the last of us." Overpriced and would not stay here again.

Don't forget your lanyard

Ice makers on the first floor were constantly empty. The room was clean and the shower had good pressure. You get a 10% at some shops and special lanyard for your ticket for staying in a "Colonial hotel".
