Only stayed a night. Place was clean. Be careful the bathrooms may be slippery if someone used the shower beforehand. Staff were helpful. I found it to be pretty far from everything. I didnt see many restaurants or stores within walkable distance. Was a 15 min walk away from bsi bus station. Hostel is really warm inside.

I was very annoyed as i booked a female only dorm room, then when i was there suddenly men were staying in the dorm with me.. as a sexial violence victim this was very unsettling.. i was given no notice about the fact they stopped having female only dorm rooms.. if i have been given notice i would have changed my travel plans..

Bus Hostel is what it is... convenient location to airport transportation and downtown Reykjavik, relatively affordable (for Iceland), clean, and friendly staff. But the shared bathrooms need more hooks to hang clothes!

If ALL you need is a clean bed, in an affordable dorm, yo’ll get it. But there is no vibe inside or out. The place is cold, boring and very far from any coffee shop, restaurant, pub and all tourist attractions.

As a hostel it was quite nice. I had a private room, but did have to share bathrooms with other guests. Although there are 15 bathrooms they were often all full due to multiple people showering at the same time of day. It would be useful to have at least one bathroom per floor without a shower so people who needed just the use of a bathroom or sink could use the facilities or brush their teeth without waiting 30-60 minutes for a free bathroom.
