I recently stayed at Curriers Lakeview Lodge and unfortunately had a very negative experience. The employee I interacted with initially was friendly and helpful, which started things off on a positive note. However, my stay took a troubling turn after checkout.
The owner accused me of smoking in the room, despite me being a substance use disorder counselor who does not smoke. She also claimed that I left the room in disarray, which was completely untrue. To make matters worse, the owner went so far as to contact the Barron County officers and request a K9 unit to investigate if there was any misuse of drugs in the room—an accusation that I found not only offensive but deeply unjust.
I felt humiliated and unfairly judged, especially given that no evidence was provided to support these allegations. The way the situation was handled left me feeling mistreated, and it was clear that there was no attempt to resolve things professionally. As a result, I was asked to pay a cleaning fee based on these false accusations, and I was left with no resolution or apology.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Curriers Lakeview Lodge to anyone. The lack of professionalism and the harsh treatment I received have made me lose all trust in this establishment.
