First we got a 3rd floor room but a long term tennant was chain smoking on the walkway 2 doors down so the room smelled like an ashtray. Since I am asthmatic and get migraines, we immediately asked to be moved. They were nice and moved us to a 2nd floor room. This room smelled fresh and clean. However, before the door even closed, loud barking from multiple dogs started in the room next door. Their owner shouted at them to shut up. They quited after awhile but anytime we moved in our room or someone came up or down the hall, the dogs started yapping. It was 4th of July so there were lots of travelers up late. The dogs barked all night long and their owners yelled and cussed at them every time. At one point the owners got in a fight and one locked the other out. So at 3 am the one who was locked out started banging on the door and cussing. When her partner let her in they started fihhting, screaming and cussing so loud it scared my kids. If that wasn't bad enough, someone on the first floor was playing music loud enough that the base thumped through the floor. On the other side of us the people were up until 3 am hanging out and talking loudly and laughing, which we could hear despite all the barking. Above us was the stomping of feet all night. It was literally THE WORST night I've ever had in a hotel. Actually, it was technically a motel. Add to that the tiny bathroom, morning backaches, and no freezer in the fridge. Positives: clean. No dogs or loud music the second night.
