The Industrialist is a great place to stay in the city for adventuring out. The rooms are small but cozy and have everything you need. The wifi and in room Smart TV work well for when you are in the room. The front desk staff was amazing and made sure I had everything I needed. My only complaint is that the walls are thin and you can hear a lot of noise from the streets or hallways. So if you are a light sleeper, keep this in mind. The proximity to the subway station and delis are a huge plus as well!

The rooms are tiny, as advertised and reviewed, clean, the shampoo etc smelled nice, and it's close to Gowanus, if that's what you are looking for, and were it $150 a night that would all be fine, but at nearly $500 a night, it's not worth it. The windows are too thin to mediate the noise of the street below, the furniture is somewhere between dorm room and medium security prison, the shower was so awkward and small as to be almost unusable - it was shaped like a LEGO brick - and I'm not a big person. So yeah - for the price - stay a bit further out.
