I have to share my experience: the check-in process was an absolute nightmare. It took two hours just to get the front door open. Following the rental agency's instructions, we actually had to force it. Once we finally got inside, the door jammed shut and locked us in. I couldn't even go back out to check if I had locked my car. Neighbors tried to help us, but to no avail. We were trapped inside the room all night until 8:00 AM the next day when the owner finally sent a locksmith. The locksmith had to unscrew a window just to climb in and open the lock. We were supposed to leave the apartment by 7:00 AM but couldn't leave until 10:00 AM. The owner later had the door fixed and returned the keys to us in the afternoon, but the damage was done. Being trapped inside a rental home without access to food or the ability to check on my car was a terrifying experience.
