I’ve stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, and this has been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. The food — especially at the buffet — was truly terrible. The taste, texture, and overall quality are nowhere near what you’d expect from a so-called 5-star resort. Bland, poorly prepared, and repetitive.
The only saving grace was Rogelio, one of the bartenders. He made the most incredible passionfruit martini and was genuinely kind and professional. He deserves five stars — the resort, however, does not.
What really made me uncomfortable was the lack of safety and care. In the middle of the night, five security guards came banging on our door for no apparent reason. It was frightening and completely unacceptable. We asked to change rooms, and while they accommodated the move, staff were extremely uncaring about how shaken we were.
Despite being a small resort, it was nearly impossible to get restaurant reservations. The service overall was cold and disorganized, far below expectations for this price point and rating.
I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this was not a relaxing or safe vacation, and I would not return.
