Everything was truly wonderful but we were disappointed with one thing… the famous “Speakeasy” was completely closed for a private event upon afternoon arrival and all through the night and even the next day. I wish we would have been informed before check-in since it’s the only actual property “amenity” besides the coffee bar.

We loved staying in the Penthouse Suite, it was beautiful throughout, the staff were great, and couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly recommend - we booked it as family and friends were in town for the weekend and we wanted a downtown base.

We loved our stay at the P.A. Smith hotel! The staff were all amazing and accommodating. The hotel itself was historic and memorable. We appreciated the original limestone walls, little nuggets of history throughout as well as the overall vibe of our room. Very comfy bed and plenty of space!

Beautiful hotel! We would definitely stay again. Our only dislike was our mattress had a hole in the middle that we rolled into and could not get comfortable in.

Loved the history of this hotel and the ambience. The rooms were extremely clean and they paid attention to detail and even provided fresh baked cookies on the bed and a little guest bag of forgotten items. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are several restaurants a few doors down in either direction to grab food. There is a speak easy bar on the 2nd floor if you need to see "the doctor". Great drinks and a live band. Lots of fun. Loved the downtown area. It was a quick getaway for my husband and I and we will definitely be back.

My one and only complaint was that their elevator was broken and our room was on the 3rd floor. However, everything else was absolutely superb! I will 100% stay here again. The inside is gorgeous and has tons of old world charm with new amenities.

The hotel is beautiful and our room was perfect and very clean, Huge downside: our room #21, had the railroad tracks just outside our windows. The trains ran ALL night long, and blew their whistles multiple times as they came thru. I didn’t sleep at ALL. Worst night in a hotel I’ve ever experienced. Possibly another room might be better - but I would never stay there again to see. The trains ruined the positive experience of this historic hotel.
