Had a lovely time in Silloth. The Golf Hotel is an old building but the room was lovely, lots of room and the bathroom had a shower and separate large bath. Staff were fantastic and breakfast was excellent, will definitely stay again. You can park on the road outside without too much trouble.

Left waiting by staff as only 1 staff was doing the bar , reception and waitresing. Very uncomfortable and lumpy beds , on waking could not shower , wash or flush the toilet as no running water Cannot comment on breakfast as we left after telling receptionist of our issues

A very clean room and a great bed. Our room was at the top of the hotel and I suppose that was our fault for not asking for a room on the first floor as we both have mobility issues. The breakfast was first class and plentiful and the breakfast staff were very polite and friendly. Hoping to be back next year but will ask for a room on the first floor

Having read reviews before we stayed we were a little bit concerned. However my room was absolutely fine, and the breakfast was great. The young girl on duty at front of house was very helpful and obviously knew how to do her job, she seemed to be everywhere. Yes, the general public areas of the hotel could do with a brighten up and a lick of paint, but overall it is a positive from me. Having read the reviews, I feel the negative ones are unfair. If you pay for a relatively cheap hotel, don't expect to be put up in the Ritz. We will be back, thank you to the Golf Hotel.

The room was up 5 flights of stairs, and there was no mention. My father who was staying is 86. Neither the heater or the shower worked. There were gaps around the window and the wind and cold air came through. The room seemed "unfinished", decoration-wise. There was nobody at reception when he went to complain.

Not very welcoming receptionist, lots of stairs, no lift, had to carry our cases up three flights, no help offered both in our 80’s. Said on line free parking this is only street parking if you can find a space. Hotel is shabby needs updating. Wouldn’t go back.
