Wow what a gem ! This would have been one of our nicest stays in NZ. The old house has been beautifully restored and so tastefully fitted out. Annabel was an outstanding host, very delightful and so helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and small things like the chocolates in the room reminded us of a by gone era of hospitality. If you are going to stay anywhere in NZ make sure this hotel is on the top of list!

What a fabulous hotel. Quirky, fun and very comfortable. We arrived late, yet Anabel went above and beyond and ensuredvour check un went as amoothly as possible.
Breakfast was wonderful too. All staff were engaging and charming.

Lovely hotel, accessible secure parking, charming and warm staff with a scrumptious breakfast & snacks. They took the time to offer suggestions for restaurants and activities. The beds were comfy, bright, clean. Bravo team.

This was the most wonderful little boutique! We wished we could have stayed more days. The room was divine, amenities inside the room incredibly thoughtful. Cook to order breakfast was absolutely lovely. Make friends with the little dog Lola- she's the cutest!

The entire stay was outstanding. In addition to a great location, comfortable-spotless room, courteous staff, and generous breakfasts, the owners/innkeepers could not have been more gracious and helpful. At every turn they offered assistance and support, making our visit an exceptional stay. We met many kind people in New Zealand, but put them at the top of the list.

There was no air-conditioning so we struggled the first night but brought a cheap fan for the remaining 3 nights of our stay and that was perfect. We got a free upgrade to a large, beautifully appointed room on our last night which was fantastic. The breakfasts were yummy, the owners were friendly and welcoming and they even have a wee dog, Lola, who gave us some dog love! Handy spot, beautifully renovated. We really enjoyed our stay!
