Great location and space

The place is terrific in terms of space, furnishings and location. We had a two bedroom two bathroom unit and loved our time there. The employees are very nice, but only two speak English so if you don't speak Spanish it could be a problem. Benjamin was incredibly attentive to our every need - even responding on WhatsApp during his time off. He is exceptional. They were doing some kind of work while we were there which made the entire place smell like turpentine. At first it was just in the common areas but it permeated our door and came into the unit. Additionally, the first night we had no hot water. They fixed it the next day, but it seems that it should not have happened. Also, do not go to this place for the pool. It is small and not particularly inviting.

We loved Casa Claver. The room were very spacious, modern and clean, and the services by Benjamin and Zindy were spot on. The location was also great; very close to everything. I highly recommend it if you like staying in boutique hotels.

We had an incredible stay here! It was the first stop on our Colombian honeymoon, and we felt so lucky to stay in the only room on the top floor, with a balcony and amazing views. The hotel is very peaceful and quiet, we had the rooftop pool to ourselves most of the time. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and had left us a very kind welcome for our honeymoon. The views of the surrounding city could not get better, and the location was perfect, right in the middle of the old town, so close to restaurants, bars, cafes and it felt very safe to walk around. The breakfast was delicious as well. 10/10, will recommend anyone who goes to Cartagena to stay here.

The staff were very friendly throughout my stay and the property was in the middle of Walled Street (my preference). It made my commute for sightseeing and excursions so convenient. The hotel can use some upgrading e.g have card keys instead of a standard key. Overall, I had a ball in Colombia and look forward to returning soon.

Incredible all around.

This was the best stay at any hotel I’ve ever had. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they went above and beyond by beautifully decorating the room for him (upon request) and even majorly upgraded our room. We were provided amazing recommendations, the staff all felt like they really knew us and wanted us to have the best experience. The roof pool area is absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing location too within the walled city, not loud but still right there with all the things only steps away.

Very unique property. The location is amazing you can really walk to most things. The breakfast was great , a lot of options and delicious every time. The views are really pretty as well. My only complaint was noise , I think my room was not in a good location because two out if the three nights I stayed I could hear people laughing and screaming all night. Overall is a great hotel only issue was the noise.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, close to everything we needed, and very convenient for exploring the area. My family and I truly had a wonderful time. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful—they went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed throughout our stay. It really made a difference and made us feel welcome and cared for. I would highly recommend this place—100%! If I ever have the chance to return, I will absolutely choose this hotel again without hesitation.

We had the one bedroom apartment. It was big, AC worked great and having a washer and dryer was convenient. Breakfast is good and delivered each morning at set time. A beautiful rooftop pool area, the view is truly amazing. If you are looking for a relaxed hotel experience this may not be your best choice. Breakfast and housekeeping can make you feel like you are on a bit of a schedule. Very friendly and helpful staff but felt like we were continuously answering the door. Seems well suited for families or larger groups.

The good - friendly staff that is overall professional and helpful. Excellent location in historic center of walled city. Very clean. Responsive to requests. The bad - the room was advertised with a king sized bed with a tv’s with satellite channels. The bed was queen sized and neither tv had satellite channels (no cable), only access to apps (line Netflix, etc). The phones in the room never worked despite me informing staff several times (they tried to fix but could not). The only streaming app that app that worked was Netflix (other apps like Max and Apple TV stopped working after the first day), I reported this but they only fixed Netflix (which stopped working after the first day) and not the other apps. Another issue was the transportation from the airport to the hotel was 150,000 Colombian pesos. I assumed this was the going rate that taxis charged. When I got to Cartagena, all the taxis confirmed they only charged 22,000 Colombian pesos to the historic center per Colombian law. The hotel’s transportation was just a regular car, maybe not considered a taxi, but a similar type of small car with no extra amenities, effectively the same as a taxi. So to be overcharged in this way was not a good first impression. More good - the pools are beautiful and clean. The breakfast was good although arrived late each day.
