We arrived at 8:15pm. No one was there to tell us where to go or who to speak with. Reception was closed, and nothing in the listing made clear that we were supposed to go to reception. Restaurant staff called through for us. Someone only arrived around 10:30pm to handle check-in — more than two hours after we got there. On top of the stay we were charged €30 for late check-in and another €30 for the receptionist to come to the hotel (plus tourist tax, which is fine). We also had to pay extra for towels and for air conditioning. AC should either be included in a summer rental or stated clearly before booking. There is also a €90 cleaning fee. That is hard to accept when they still ask for €50 if the kitchen is not left clean and another €50 if the rubbish is not taken out. If you already pay €90, that work should be included — not billed again as a penalty. Once inside: Exterior lights were not working The oven did not work The stove took about 20 minutes to heat There was no working fan in the room The apartment was very hot Reception is only open from 9:00. That is a real problem if you have an early flight or need to check out before then. We raised all of this. The restaurant staff who helped us on arrival were the one bright point. Instructions, wait, fees, appliances, heat, reception hours, and the cleaning policy all fell short of what the listing suggested. I will report this listing every time I see the ad.
