A Hotel or Motel?

It's located in a service lot a minute after you passed exit 37 southbound on M6. It has a peaceful view of Killington lake.It's quite far from town but fortunately the lady in the reception gave us clear direction to good restaurants. She was very helpful. In general, two stars rating looks appropriate and I would say it's more like a Motel for motorists than a Hotel.

deadly misguiding satnav postcodes

We set up our satnav postcodes according to the web-site and ended up in a single-lane country road, thick in the fog, in the middle of nowhere. So be forewarned not to trust the satnav settings for this hotel. We gave the hotel a phone call and were told to head for the services area, exit 37 on M6. Fortunately we arrived all in one piece! When the fog clears, the view behind the hotel is gorgeous. We will definitely stay in this hotel again next time when we visit the lakes area!

We felt that the website doesn't make it clear you are staying in a motorway service station. That was disappointing. The reception staff was very helpful. The condition of the hotel is not what I expected from Wyndham. It was poor. Wyndham is associated with excellent accommodation and excellent service. This hotel is not doing your brand any favours.

Firstly I have to say I received a very warm welcome the lovely receptionist - Laila. She was absolutely amazing and will be remembered as one of the nicest lady I’ve met on my travels. However I can’t say that about the hotel or my room - it was truly abysmal by today’s standards. Poor condition, bathroom falling to bits, shower head full of slime and mould, floor dirty had to ask the cleaning girl to clean the floor. There was an odour of pets in our room, and my duvet smelt too. Other than that Laila and manager Diane made up for my disappointment. Taken photos as it was bad.

Clean and tidy but signs of age

Travelling with family seeing the local area and this hotel hit the spot straight off the M6 and local to all tourist destinations. Great welcome at reception and given our key to the room. First impression was clean and tidy. Great views from the window but once we had looked around you could see aging signs of west and tear. Marks on work tops and mould around the mirror and bathroom. The beds were clean and comfy and its very quiet location. Hopefully it gets a bit of money spent on it before the next visit.

Really bad

The room was covered in black mould from the bathroom to the windows, the toilet seat was broken and botched back together. I was told they were fully booked, could move me the next day and the manager would call me. Nothing happened. There was nobody on the desk that evening to talk to and the shutters were down in the morning. Can tell nobody cares about their job or where they work. They do not follow the triple R policy, the taps were filthy, the bed sheet had stains on which should of been thrown out. Luckily mattress was ok. I took many photos but the app will not let me upload.

Convenient stop off en route. Said it had a restaurant but that turned out to be macdonalds at the m6 services. Bed was clean and comfy but hotel is tired. Could use a little TLC
