Stay was ok. Close to the College. When we checked in we were told the room we booked, king sized bed wasn't avaliable. I had booked a king sized bed but got a 2 doublebed room. Very loud late at night from the bar area.

OK in a Pinch

Hotel is aged. Elevators not working as we were leaving with one of our party on a walker. Three flights of stairs to carry her from the second floor. A repair guy saw our problem, said it was fixed and safe, so we used it, and found a second repairman in the lobby not happy that we had used it. The attached restaurant is good, but room amenities are bare bones. Needs a general face lift. Breakfast also bare bones.

After reading positive reviews, we were very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and comfort in our room. The bed was rumpled like it had been laid on and shower had no pressure. I'm curious if some hotels have a few rooms they allow Hotel.com or other on line bookings to use that are not their up to date nice rooms?

Staff is friendly, beds nice. I liked the smaller pillows with both foamier and softer filling. The room was clean, but the bathroom tub area needs an upgrade. We also thought the Ugrill restaurant right in the building was convenient and nicely priced.

Lobby was nice. Everything else was very dated. Mediocre describes the rooms and furniture. Very little water pressure in shower. Room was humid. Vents were dirty. Shower was old. Would not recommend to friends or family.

The Clarion is an older hotel that is being renovated and apparently be a future bigger brand hotel. The bar was great. The room was older. But it was worth the money being a lower cost alternative on the road.

Cheap for a reason

The elevator was creepy. The hallway was extremely hot. The tiles were sticky, the carpet was moist, and there was no soap in the bathroom. There was no shampoo or conditioner either. We ended up driving home because I questioned the cleanliness of the beds.

Clean and quiet

Stayed here on a whim. Had very mostly good ratings on hotels. However, there was a concern because one person wrote about a problem. It was obviously not a problem. He wrote in all caps, which is usually a sign that someone is strange. We had no problems here and the place was clean, and the breakfast was excellent.
