Hotel Central, as it’s name implies, is in a perfect location, right near Old Town. The rooms are sound proof, so no worries about sleeping.

Very central but needs spa upkeep

This hotel is bang in the middle of town right next to the bars, amazing location but not for a light sleeper. The beds and basins are all very tall, not for shorter people. The spa had most jets out of order and bo covers on the drains in pool which is dangerous. Also very strange layout. Was a nice stay but probably wouldn't return to this hotel.

Great hotel, perfect location

We had a fabulous time in Sarajevo and really enjoyed staying at Hotel Central. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had airport transfers both ways and they were excellent - prompt, safe and comfortable. We loved the swimming pool and gym and thought this was a great benefit. Two small gripes are that the room was often very hot which we didn’t find comfortable. And our housekeeping wasn’t very through - we had fresh towels and the bed made but we didn’t get any replacement tea, coffee or cups during our 3 night stay. We didn’t raise this as it wasn’t a huge deal for us but explains why I didn’t give 5/5. We would stay here again and really enjoyed our visit.

Property was close to Bašcarsija which was really nice. It was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shopping centers. Staff was also very friendly. The rooms were very well maintained. Breakfast had a nice variety of foods. The cons: Finding parking was very inconvenient. Ended up paying twice as much for an off parking garage. Also, the pool temperature could be a little warmer for the kiddos.

Great hotel and great people

This hotel is in the best location. Facing Cathedral. The pool is fancy. Stream room is great. Wifi is good. The shower is strong. The breakfast not many items but good. There is safe box in the room. The front desk people are extremely nice. Especially Diana. They booked private tour and airport transfer for me. Both drivers are super nice and have very nice cars. Strongly recommend this hotel.

As I rated it was a terrible stay overall. It needs upgrading of everything from furniture to pillows etc. It was not as luxurious as the hotel described it. A dusty to a warm room had to open the window overnight. Sleep was no better as it was next to all the pubs in the street. Please it needs an immediate refurbishment. Cheaper hotels nearby with 5-star ambience are better for the value of the money.

Highly recommended hotel

Well positioned hotel for exploring the old town part of Sarajevo. Room was a large size in an historic building with a modern, well-designed interior. Very good buffet style breakfast with a range of options. Parking: hotel sent an email explaining where to park nearby (about 75m away, off of the same road) at a price of 15 Euros per day. On departure, parking lot was going to charge 24 Euros per 24 hours; on mentioning hotel, told we needed a card from it showing dates of stay for reduced price. No problem getting this from the hotel even though we'd checked out and then no problem receiving reduced rate. Parking payment in BAM, cash only.

Excellent Location

True to its name, Hotel Central is right in the heart of the old town. All the sights, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable if a little small. Great bed, plenty of tea/coffee and storage space. Ensuite was modern and clean, shower sprays at a bit of an odd angle though which floods the bathroom every time. All in all a solid choice for Sarajevo.
