We came to visit Brown University, and this place was absolutely perfect in terms of location. The room was spacious and spotless, with everything we needed in both the kitchen and bedroom. We felt very comfortable during our stay. We've already booked it again for Brown's summer program. Highly recommended!

Plenty of space, very comfortable and clean. While the building is obviously older, it’s been very nicely updated with all of the modern amenities you might need. Loved having a full kitchen and parking. Would definitely stay again if we return.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were visiting Providence to tour Brown and RISD and we were able to easily walk to both. The property itself was beautiful as was our room/apartment we stayed in. We appreciated having a dining space as well as a kitchen to enjoy some meals in. It was very easy to find as well as check in. We were sent very detailed instructions before arriving which was incredibly helpful. We look forward to visiting again sometime.

Property was nicely decorated and room was clean, spacious and perfect for our family of four. Without air conditioning and only two working windows it would have been nice to have fans available in the room. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

I had a lovely time. The hotel is in a charming Victorian house. There's lots of room but no water in what is now the kitchen area (it was clearly once a butler's pantry.) So, kettles are filled and dishes rinsed from the bathroom. The fridge is little and very low to the ground. Other than a leaf-blowing machine that started up outside my window well before 7.30 am (!!) it was quiet and cozy.

I really enjoyed staying at this property! The house is close to Brown and very convenient for visiting campus. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance and the neighborhood is nice. The unit is large with comfortable beds and is stocked with basics like coffee, tea and toiletries. This historic home is very clean and charming and affords privacy even in shared spaces.

Gorgeous old home in residential Providence

Loved this property. It was gorgeous and the room very spacious and well-appointed. Set in quiet residential setting. There was however absolutely no management present on the property the entire visit and when I tried to contact them through two different phone numbers about a late checkout there was no response. Then I received a text from a different phone number (the cleaner, I think) saying my key was not in the location it was supposed to be at checkout time. She was very kind and apologetic and said the owners were traveling. This was more like a shared airbnb experience than it was a hotel, which is fine, but they should call it what it is. I will probably try again as it’s close to where my daughter lives.

Historic home with everything we needed!

Delivering my daughter to grad school we needed an extra special night at the last minute. I was lucky to find the Underwood Hale House had a private modernized apartment available close by solving many of our immediate issues: parking and both of us getting a good night's sleep! Highly recommend this beautiful, perfectly maintained, property.

Beautiful place to stay in a renov ated 1880s Victorian. Room was very spacious, fully equipped with an eating area, and a nice outdoor porch. Very close to Brown University and downtown Providence.
