The room was spacious, gorgeously furnished, super clean, and comfortable. I understand other reviews about a slightly musty smell in the hallways, but it was gone by morning (maybe a humidity issue?). Staff is very friendly, and the rooftop bar is excellent. I appreciated the attention to detail in providing earplugs, as street noise can get a bit loud at night.

Style and Service Collide.

My wife and I had a short staycation for our anniversary. Let’s just say we loved the vibe of this place. Great design, very clean, great pool, fun rooftop lounge and restaurant, the list goes on. We stayed in a poolside king suite. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and just as stylish and thoughtfully designed as the rest of the hotel. The balcony overlooks the pool. Loved our stay. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family coming in from out of town.

The entire staff were all very pleasant, especially the young men at valet and the receptionist. The grounds and room were very clean. However, the room was extremely noisy and almost impossible to sleep in. I didn’t think to mention it to staff, assuming the noise would lessen as the night went on. But, it continued and only got worse throughout the night and morning. At check out, I was informed the 4th floor was directly under the kitchen which was upsetting- especially since I paid for a room upgrade. Overall, wonderful staff. But the price does not justify the lack of comfort.

Loved the hotel. Absolutely gorgeous interiors. We had a Superior Suite, 1 King Bed (Pool Club Suite), which was spacious and an absolutely wonderful space in which to spend our night. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, the service was excellent. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Michael helped us with our luggage and he gave us a tour on the way up to our room as well as so much great info. on dining and the amenities available. It’s an older property that was recently renovate and very nicely done. The fixtures and details have so much character & charm yet all the top notch amenities a 5-star hotel is expected to have. The room is HUGE…620 sq. ft. with separate sitting & dining areas, a very spacious bathroom, and the most comfortable king size bed. They upgraded our room to a poolside unit which was very much appreciated. There’s also a balcony with a seating area accessible from the room. We will definitely be coming back to The Aster on our next stay in the L.A. area.
