Not for a busy season, the service was not great. Staff wasn’t sure where the breakfast was and the floor details had to be figured out. Breakfast had long lines and food ran out with people entering still.

The staff was super helpful and friendly as usual , from the valet to the reception and of course Karla at the concierge who always does extraordinary things to help me whenever I need a reservation or a question about the city . Worst hotel experience of my life. I checked in and out within 12 hours and I stayed away so long because i couldn’t bear to be in that room. I paid $165 for a beautiful luxurious junior suite that looks nothing like the pictures online. The furniture was old and rickety, the fixtures were rusted, the carpet was dirty and smelled so bad it took over the room and though you could see the skyline from my room from far, the first thing you see close up are the galvanized roofs of buildings. This place believes the picturesque view would make up for the lack of luxury and service and constitute them charging this high amount. It is not worth it. I caught an Uber to the Hampton and saw a bus of tourists and shared that the megapolis is not a place they should ever book. They were grateful (I also told the front desk staff). I found a 5 star hotel in the city and stayed there for the other 8 hours before my flight. When I checked out from megapolis the front desk didn’t ask me anything though he could see that I checked in and out so quickly. He also didn’t want to give me a receipt and said it would be emailed. I’d stayed at 3 hotels in Panama because I had so much to do and things the first that said they couldn’t give me a receipt. After back and forth, I said I don’t see it in my email. He says let me check, then asked me to write down my email on a random food receipt he found on the desk. So he didn’t even have my email. He said again I’ll send it tomorrow….
