MAIN Pool out of action sadly.

The Hotel looked lovely until we saw main pool was out of action, and we didn't know before we booked it was closed for 3 months, we got an email closer to out stay to let us know but i had non refundable booking i would have stayed elsewhere had i known, pools are a huge part of staying on an island and paying so much.. there was a another pool with a swim up bar which was understaffed given everyone was at this smaller pool only 1 lady working her Butt off. Apart from that a nice Hotel for a quick night befote we flew out early morn. And very close to airport..

Over the water bungalows great,other wise ?

Massive pool enlargement under construction,large distraction for the overall atmosphere of property.Food and drink very pricey!

Construction on site really detracted from the beauty of the area Between the pool work and the restaurant work the resort was always unsettled and chaotic Not what you think of going to the “unspoiled paradise” that Tahiti is known for.

The air conditioning only went down to 23 degrees so was uncomfortable as the bedding only had a heavy comforter and no sheet. The transit room wasn’t as clean as I wanted with the floor and shower wet from a previous customer and the towel bin full. Main pool is in renovation. Sad

Main pool closed for repairs. That led to restaurants closing at times and the jackhammering did not set the mood. The other sand bottom pool was very nice though. For the cost of a nightly stay, the nickle and dimimg that went on was rediculous. A alacarte meal for 2 was over $150.00 us, coffee and a cookie for breakfast over $25us. Asking for water at the restaurants was like a bother to the inattentive wait staff. No minibar or room coffee, all needed to be purchased at a steep price. Stay at the Hilton was much better and the staff much better. I guess if you don’t mind any expenses and want to say you stayed at the intercontinental, by all means!

Very nice for short stay

The location is not very convenient if you want to leave the property, but we were content to stay. We stayed in the overwater bungalow, awesome! The only improvement needed is the food selection. All the dining options had the same food, so the choices were limited however we liked what we had all nights. Staff was very nice😊

Concierge service is great. A male attendant at the checkout on February 25th is terrible, completely ignorant of guest needs. I had to resolve the issue with a female attendant. Lagoon corals are growing ( ), but lagoon is reduced to a half size to accommodate 2 turtles and smaller size is detrimental to the fish. There is a significantly less fish in lagoon in comparison to my 5 years ago visit. There's a construction between the lagoon and main restaurant. The construction dust is visible in the lagoon. Obviously, noise levels interfere with a conversation at the tables.

The staff and service at the property were incredible. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Unfortunately we were notified a week out that they would be ripping up one of their swimming pools to refurbish it. This pool was part of our "view" and also part of the experience we'd hope to have at the resort. In addition, the construction noise was horrible. They brought in a back hoe to chop up the concrete which was happening right in front of the only restaurant that was open! We were extremely unhappy as the construction notification came too late for us to change our plans, yet they had no trouble charging full price for an expensive room. One more comment, the hotel is not close to anything so a rental car is recommended.

Wait until construction is over.

Great place. Unfortunately a big portion of the property is under construction. So the awesome views are blocked and there is heavy machinery noise during the day.

We booked a room last minute, when our flight landed too late to catch the ferry to Moorea. The hotel was beautiful, i wish we'd have had more than one night. The concierge was extremely helpful getting us a taxi and information for the ferry.

Well, the property is going through a renovation. They do nothing to go above and beyond for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay right now. Have very limited places you can eat at a reasonable price to just grab something quick. Several times I asked for help and never got any follow up and while when walking past the staff, they would be friendly and say hello when you actually needed something nobody was there to help La Lotus restaurant which is supposed to be this Michelin chef restaurant is not worth the money at all and the food was very average Once they get their remodel of their pool done, I’m sure the beauty of the place will be much better, but they certainly need to do much better with the staff and employees and making people feel welcomed and help

The property is under construction which takes away from the ambiance. I am sure it will be lovely when the work is complete, but sorry we had to experience it. Food was expensive and fine, but not fabulous.

Construction was going on, and the schedule was not communicated to us until almost time of departure. Mid-day food/snacks were not redily available.The construction disruptions should have been mitigated/partially refunded as all services were not available. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.
