The customer is never right!
After checking in and getting to our room, we discovered that the temperature inside was above 80°C. We immediately called the front desk, who denied there was an issue and told us to “just wait for the air conditioner to start up.” We waited around 15 minutes, but the unit continued blowing hot air.
At that point, we went back to the front desk and asked for another room. The only option they offered was a double queen, which was not what we booked. They also refused to adjust the rate or offer any compensation, saying that because we booked through a third-party app (Hotels.com), there was nothing they could do. They even seemed reluctant for us to switch rooms and suggested we return to the original room and wait for the temperature to drop.
This was a very frustrating and uncomfortable experience, and unfortunately, we will not be returning to this hotel. I would appreciate if Hotels.com could step in to help make this right, whether through a partial refund, credit, or another form of compensation.
