I've stayed there before and I've noticed that throughout the years, their focus has turned more on the lounge and restaurant.
As residents, we've noticed a lot of missing/non functioning items in the room. The cleaning lady was so nice to help us with our needs but when it comes to room services we were struggling a bit.
Food came late on a lot of occasions even when we've specified the timing. At the restaurant, some of the waiters were so rude to us and I even reported some of their behavior to the receptionist. When the receptionist confronted the waiter, he yelled at me saying that I'm trying to get him fired when I was just reporting a 45 minutes wait to be attended.
That behavior wasn't professional and the environment felt hostile. I wish the managers put more focus on training their staff on good services. It's a 5 stars hotel and it's not cheap at all so I was expecting good quality,
The receptionists are very good though, very service minded and well managed, I was just struggling with delays every time I've requested something. They either forget to take forever to get our request.
The spa was amazing, we did a hammam and it was totally worth it.
Would I go back to Villa Didon, maybe but hopefully they would improve their services by that time
