Great place overlooking the Nile. Good buffet breakfast. Pool closes at sunset. Try to get a room on the back (quiet) side of the island. You can watch the sun set and listen to the frogs.

Loved taking a small boat to Elephantine island. Beautiful grounds to stroll and restaurant in the tower had stunning views of the water and night life happening on the other side. The staff were amazing from check in, spa, housekeeping to the drivers/porters to the boat. I will recommend to all my friends.

An expensive stay, but other than cost absolutely no complaints. Everyone was so kind and helpful, the room was lovely, breakfasts amazing. Enjoyed patio sundowners and foyer piano in afternoons. Really tip top.

Wonderful Location in Aswan

We stayed at this property in December of 2022 and cannot recommend it enough. The location is amazing and the hotel has a boat that runs every 15 minutes to take you back to the main land. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in Aswan.

Perfect location and service in Aswan.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Mövenpick in Aswan. The location on a small island offers a great view of the Nile. The service is always attentive and friendly. Our room was spacious and had all that we need. The breakfast and the buffet dinner in the Elephantine restaurant is outstanding. Only the gym and the spa is just average and a bit dated.

Astounding location and beautiful room with view

The hotel is on an island. The campus is huge and beautiful and surrounded by river Nile. They gave me a free upgrade of room. The front deck of the room had beautiful views of the Nile. The breakfast was great

The location is perfect ! You can see the Nile River and it’s beauty right in front of you, the hotel is located in elephantine isle so there’s security and tranquility in the area leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind. The staff are nice, in fact, in one of our walks in the property, there was this man in the cart offering us a ride as we explore the island and he introduced us to the various sustainable projects they have in the property like their vegetable and flower gardens and he turned out to be the general manager, Staff are nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel if you will be in Aswan .

Nice business hotel, but overpriced

Hotel is on a little Island only reachable by boat. A ferry service (2 mins) is available 24/7. The room is nice and i would say a good business hotel standard, but the price tag (250 Eur/night) is not justified in my opinion, for that everything should be amazing and it wasn't, bathroom feels dated. I stayed in other well-known hotels during my Egypt trip that were more than half that and the standard was as good and in some cases better. Breakfast is great, staff is pleasant, setting is nice..but again, price tag not justified in my opinion.

Old hotel design and rooms

The hotel and the rooms are too old, in particular, the design style and the furnitures. We can see that the staff has been trying to maintain the best condition and keep the furniture clean but the furniture and decoration are really quite old. When the rooms are not cheap, I do not expect the rooms are that old. The hotel is located in the island which requires us to take the boat provided by the hotel from the city to the island. The boat operates 24 hours 7 days so it would not be any problem for this. Apart from that, our stay in Movenpick was still good and peaceful. The breakfast was normal; the room service is good; check-in and check-out are smooth; the transfer boat is good as well.
