We upgraded to deluxe room as these are much nicer than the basic ones from previous visits - room was lovely bed not comfortable and the service was terrible - 20 mins to stand at bar to get drinks - tables were not cleared and dinner came out with 5 mins gap between the other people coming out - food was nice and reasonable priced but drink overpriced.

Great hotel in Horncastle.
Speedy check in with friendly lady on reception. Really nice room, great menu and free carpark. Downside , it’s an old hotel and the floorboards make a right noise.

Comfortable stay with extremely friendly staff
Lovely quiet room . Bathroom a little cramped but well stocked with beauty products. Nice towels. Water extremely hot . Breakfast experience was great lovely presented cooked food. Nice friendly staff.

I wouldn't come back.
Room 314 is very noisy as there's a pub underneath that plays live music very loud. The windows had so much mold on them when I went to open one my fingers were full of mold. It's definetly in need for some renovations. We ended up checking out early and just driving home because we wouldn't have been able to sleep with the loud music, when asked for a refund I was told they couldn't offer one and to call on another day to talk to someone else.. This hotel is to worried about having fancy expensive soaps for the bathroom then actually taking care of the facility.

Mostly happy
Receptionist on check in was lovely. Day manager also very friendly. Room was gorgeous & bed/ pillows pretty comfortable. Only downsides were the walls are very thin so we could hear neighbours both sides (tv, talking, coughing etc). Also, very unpleasantly surprised by our dinner experience. Service was shocking & quality of food was average but expensive. Despite this, we would stay here again.

Arranging Wake at Hotel
We stayed to attend a Funeral and help the Wake in the Hotel. Getting the right amount of seats was difficult as we were told if extra seats were required I would have to buy more £22 food packages. As we were unsure of how many guests from the funeral would attend I found the Hotel policy very very strange as we did not wish to over order and waste food. Whilst the food was good no effort to make it look well presented was made ie no garnish around sandwiches, or hot food, The Bar staff, Reception Staff were all excellent

comfortable stay
the Admiral Rodney is a lovely hotel we had a very comfortable night sleep although there was a band playing until 11pm ,no other noise from the bar, but some street noise. the room was very tastefully decorated & spacious with ensuite with bath & shower. The restaurant was very welcoming had a good menu choice & the food was excellent . the staff were all happy, pleasant,& efficient , could have been a little bit more conversational. over all we had a good stay & would like to go again
