The trip was pleasant. The staff was nice and the show was great. The hotel facilities are a bit old. The toilet made a scream every time it was flushed, and the conditioner could not be squeezed out. I went to the front desk and told them that the conditioner could not be used. They replied that they would solve it immediately, but it was not solved the next day. After we found the room cleaner, she replaced a new bottle of conditioner for me. Overall, the evaluation is satisfactory.

Great service, but construction is too much
Second time here - this was a family winter break with one parent working remote. So easy vacation without a lot of planning was needed. Service and staff are amazing - kind, courteous, patient, helpful, responsive etc. can’t say enough. The location and weather are spectacular. Sunrises and sunsets on the beach, and watching rays jumping and whales swimming laps - great stuff. The shows and entertainment varies in quality but is always enthusiastic. Appreciate the staff effort. Liked the daily yoga on the beach, too. Breakfast with whales at Cortez and dinner at the Italian spot are fantastic. Liked the poolside juice bar, tacos and ceviche too. Not all the food is good, but there is plenty to enjoy. The spa was also really good - and a decent value. The upgraded hydrotherapy circuit and massage - so fun and relaxing! The big downsides were the construction and the condition of the property in general - basically the property is getting really tired - we had an “artwork” fall out of its frame and off the wall, and the sofa was stained. It appears they are remodeling one wing at a time - so that means there is nonstop construction going on during the day. All day the pool and beach area is vibrating with the screech of saws, pounding of hammers and literal jackhammering for hours. It was crazy how loud it was and for me, it really dampened my time there. You don’t want to be at the beach and feel like you’re in the middle of a downtown construction project.

Wait staff outstanding!
I haven’t highly commend the following wait staff - Alejandro (LOVE Him!) that’s from Gloria. Also Manual - both our beach waiters. Then Angel from Cortez Cafe - such a lovely young man! And lastly, Fernando from main dining made our breakfast experience outstanding and his chocolate creator last day was a most welcome surprise and kind gesture on his part But all staff up and down the line were always friendly.

Luxurious Get a Way
OMG! How amazing. The service, the amenities and the food were all top notch. We got upgraded to a swim out room and it was delightful. The spa was incredible. The superbowl party was great, even though our team lost. Only bad part was you can not go into the ocean at this resort due to the currents and the waves. But, beautiful, none the less. No place we would rather be when it’s 11 degrees at home!!

Llevo desde 1985 viajando una o dos veces al año con mi familia a diversos destinos y hoteles y debo reconocer que es el mejor personal de todos los que he visitado. muchas gracias por sus atenciones y hospitalidad. Fui huésped del 31 de enero al 5 de febrero. Habitaciones 1502, 1536 y 1634. Son un gran equipo un abrazo a todos

Excellent Family Friendly All Inclusive
I have been to a couple all inclusives in the past but this was the first time going with a 1.5 year old, and to San Jose Del Cabo. After some research we landed on the Hyatt Ziva. We could not have been more pleased with our decision. First and foremost the staff was incredible. Everyone was super friendly and extremely attentive to our needs. To me the staff made me feel like a guest in their own home. The food topped my expectations. The food was good to very good and there were plenty of options for adults and kids. The drinks could be hit or miss, it all depended on who was making them. As far as the construction, it really wasn’t all that bad. The area it was most noticeable was around the kids pool but it’s a kids pool, it’s not quiet there to begin with. Most people with kids, including us just used the main pool where they had a not so hot tub for kids. My only complaint is that there was no insulation around the room doors. You could hear everyone walking and talking within 20 yards of your room. Other than that, I would highly recommend this resort. I would like to give a shout out to Alan and Cinthia at the Sports Bar, Carlos and Lupita at the Martini Bar, Miguel and Alejandro who are servers at the main pool, Alex and Margarito at restaurant Cortez, Anna at the French restaurant, and everyone else I’m forgetting. Thank you all for your hospitality!

Great vacation
This a week getaway for me & wife and the hotel was good with very friendly & cooperative staff. The restaurants where fine and had a few tours the where amazing. Also used the spa they was great! Yes ai would recommend Hyatt Ziva Hotel

Great All Inclusive spot in SJDC
Booked a mini trip at the start of the New Year and had a blast. Checked in albeit 30 mins after the 3pm time, but at least we were booked into the new wing of the hotel (building 2). Room 2732 was great, with great views, spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. Great location for the walkable beach and the hotel restaurants were also really good for an all inclusive. Casa Cortez was great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Right on the beach. Burger place (The Station) was great too. The French restaurant was nice. Great service and not bad food. We went to the Plaza once for breakfast. Always simple, but nice and easy. Eggs cooked in front of you is all most people need. Lots of variations of food. Hacienda quite noisy but the NY steak was tasty and nice desserts. Didn’t try El Monina as seemed a little too open and no atmosphere. One saving grace was that they had a really nice Sav Blanc wine in ALL the restaurants. The best restaurant was Dozo / Hibachi. Asian food. Like a Benihana really. Great service again. Would I have any complaints? Not really. One of the nicer all inclusive places in the area and a 30 min quick walk away from downtown San Jose Del Cabo. Even the TV had lots of English speaking channels with a “casting” feature, albeit this only works with Amazon and YouTube. Great place to relax and put your feet up.

Bleh property.
Was really basic. Wouldn’t come back here again. Food was blah, not worth the price of this all inclusive. So much construction everywhere as well and the water park didn’t work which was not ideal.

Shout out to the service team! Our waiter every morning for breakfast was a lovely man, we sat in the same spot every morning but although he remembered our names sadly I can’t remember his! cinthia and Alfredo in the lobby bar were so great! Only issue was the construction noise but didn’t bother us, the gentleman who arranged our tour was great too…. Love Hyatt Ziva
