The staff were not service minded at all. We couldn’t make a dinner reservation despite the restaurant not being fully booked. The bill was given to us without us asking for it. The food was awful, it was served within 5 minutes leaving us assuming it was ready made and warmed in the microwave. We ordered two drinks in the bar and was served one half full and the other full. I would have expected the half full to at least have been topped up to a full drink or the bartender should have made a new drink. The hotel itself is stunning and so is the surrounding area so it’s a shame that service and food were so bad.

Staying in a castle has always been in my bucket list! This did not disappoint. It is beautiful with stunning views. Even though we had a “fire drill” at 2:30am (rain made its way to the alarm system, which cause it to go off), it just added to the experience and created another memory!! It’s also great that it is walking distance to the village of Pitlochry, especially since taxis are very sparse!! I would most definitely stay there again!

This was the best resort we stayed in during our trip. From the imposing entrance every aspect is relaxing and the food is excellent. There is an interesting museum in the hotel.

Staff in restaurant didn’t seem happy & food not up to usual standard. We thought it rather pricey for 2 courses of this quality- £45pp. Bedroom staff were polite & helpful.

Flott sted med hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening. Men rommet var skuffende. Lite, trangt, smale senger og en dør som ikke var lystett. Speil og vinduer var møkkete. Leit at rommet ikke sto i stil til det flotte slottet ellers!

We were given a disabled room that we did not ask for which was at the back of the hotel and to get to it we had to go through a very long busy restaurant with people having there meals. The corridor to this room was definitely needing aired. The room had a fridge that made a noise all night so we switched it off and there was no bedside lamp. Otherwise a nice stay.

The hotel is lovely and full of character with huge, beautiful grounds. My only complaint is that everything is over priced to the point where we ate and drank out all the time. Even at breakfast several items carried a supplementary charge. I have not come across that for "normal" fair before. the same was true in the expensive main evening meal menu. It just seemed mean and greedy. Shame as it was the only negative in a lovely hotel

I’ll be at my wife and I were excited to stay here but could not do to an emergency surgery. I was very disappointed that I was yet charged fully for the stay. I do plan on coming back next year, but not sure if I would choose this property. The proper thing to do would have been to give credit upon such a condition.

Was put in a room that had a wedding party directly underneath it was really loud, approached the reception and the lady on duty had us moved to opposite end of hotel. Shame ruined our special visit, the staff were fantastic and friendly

We come here twice a year and are never dissapointed. All staff are friendly and helpfull if needed. Log fires burning when the weather requires them. I spoke with an american who was amazed at the friendliness of the staff and the level of comfort the hotel provides. Looking forward to our return visirt.
