Budget Hotel, Clean but Basic.

The room was very clean despite the fact the decor is very tired. The food in the bar was nice, hot and freshly cooked. The bed was the big problem, the matress was old, lumpy and creaky, I hardly slept. The TV was not in the best position and there was very limited plug sockets.

Some mixed reviews on this place, however we found it clean and tidy, room size was good, shower was amazingly powerful, staff helpful, friendly, and attentive, and breakfast was lovely. Would happily stay here again when in the area.

Toby carvery nearby. Free parking.

The hotel was well placed for our 1 night stay to visit. Used nearby Toby Carvery for food. The room was basic but that is whag we expected for the price we paid because it was convenient.

Hotel was ok. One night f twin beds could do with new mattress. Shortsge electric sockets (only 1) so not enough to charge devices. Room a bit tired. Television poor quality. Breakfast excellent.

Late booking as our other hotel double booked us was fair but unfortunately with magic weekend on in Newcastle on a lot of hotels were full so unfortunately had to pay over the odds but would book again

cheap and not that Cheerful

The rooms are listed as double beds not double rooms, none of the rooms we stayed in were double beds, all the double rooms are apparently two single beds put together! my bed didn't even have 2 beds the same height. The bathroom had a shower in a half bath, it was very very hard to have a shower as there wasn't enough room to turn around as the half bath had a built in step/ seat so was very dangerous to stand in the shower. Staff were mainly very good.

Very old outdated rooms with no attempt to maintain Beds terrible had to sleep on top of quilt and room very cold as the ancient heater did not work Would never use again

really nice hotel

Little confusion at check in and iwa sgiven the wrong form by mistake but quickly rectified so no harm done. The room was large with double bed and a single bed. This is our second stay here so what we expected. I love the recycling idea leave recycle things on desk and they will put in proper places also love the do not disturb sign so they cleaners dont go in when its not needed you can collect extra tea/coffee etc from reception as well as towels loo roll etc and it saves the cleaners cleaning a room that doesnt need it so they have longer for the rooms that need deep clean ready for the next visitor. There is a small bath as well as shower with great water pressure. My only dislike is the toilets are fixed to the wall so the cleaners can clean under them easily great idea i just always felt like it might snap off my own paranoia not a fault with fixings. I do think they should provide a bath mat on all rooms as the floor can be slippy and a hand rail next to toilet for ease of use when you have mobility issues. Only other fault toilet roll kept falling off the holder but thats just the design of it.

This is a nice hotel with all the required amenities. The room was cosy and functional for what we needed. The breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from and all very fresh. The staff could not have been more helpful and were extremely accomodating. The prices were extremely reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.
