Un lugar para visitar y relajarte.

El hotel es regular, las instalaciones no son tan nuevas, pero son cómodas. La comida del buffet es muy repetitiva y no tiene mucho sabor, es muy simple, sin embargo la de los restaurantes de reservación es muy rica y exclusiva. Estuvimos de viernes a miércoles y sólo un día se pudo reservar, sería un plus que abrieran el servicio a la carta más días. El servicio por parte de los colaboradores del hotel sin duda es muy bueno, son muy serviciales, atentos y disponibles. Como area de oportunidad (no sé si por ser temporada baja) son muy pocas personas para el servicio de bebidas, son muy tardadas. Pero es comprensible porque hay una sola persona para atender toda el área de playa y alberca. No se da abasto. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y limpias. El manglar es un área protegida muy bonita, sólo que si considero que haya ayudas visuales sobre el peligro/riesgo de fauna salvaje. Tuvimos un incidente que creo se pudo evitar si se hubiera avisado a tiempo, para estar alertas. El chico salva vidas actúo de manera asertiva y el personal del hotel estuvo al tanto posteriormente brindando atención a la situación. En general considero que la experiencia fue acogedora, el lugar es muy bonito, hay shows y hay relación entre costo beneficio.

En general todo bien solo que yo reservé con ustedes en categoría vip y cuando llegué al Hotel no me lo Hicieron válido y pasé una muy mala experiencia tuve que pagar la diferencia para estar en la Categoría que ya había adquirido con ustedes y dijeron que era problema de la aplicación donde compré y me extrañó mucho porque siempre compro mis hoteles con ustedes y jamás había tenido problemas

Our AC in room wasn’t cooling since first day of check in. Someone had to come two different times to fix it but issue still wasn’t resolved even on our last day of checking out and we were there 5 days. Never was given an option to switch rooms. Food and drinks were okay. Beach was beautiful. Bartenders were awesome and some waiters service as well.

The location, main property, and staff are excellent. The pool is located in a nice location; however, it is in poor condition and hurricane damage has not been repaired. The food is average and difficult to get reservations for the à la carte restaurants. Overall, it was a great vacation and I would stay there again without hesitation. I just hope they do some work on that pool and the hurricane damage to the pool deck.

The nature and wildlife around area was awesome. Beautiful resort. Time share guys were rude and unpleasant when we told them we were not interested. Buffet food was ok, but not great. No wash clothes was very odd, told it was only for Royal club. Seafood restaurant was very good.

The property is well-maintained and very lush. Our garden room view was nice and on 2nd floor. No elevators but we are okay with stairs. Our room did not have a balcony, a first for us, but without ocean view we didn't miss it. The AC was a little loud but worked wonderfully and kept us cool during hot/humid season. The food was pretty good but we wished there were more options. Spa is small but we had a great massage. Overall it was fine for a 4 day getaway to relax.

Great stay at Occidental. Buffet and a la carte restaurants were fantastic! Nice little beach area. Only comment for improvement would be more seating for the nightly shows. Everything else was spot on.

We loved our stay at Occidental Cozumel! The people were just so wonderful and showed us the most generous hospitality. The food was simply amazing and the cocktails were always fun and surprising. We enjoyed the beautifully manicured grounds and the traditional architecture. The snorkeling at the resort was pretty good, but while we were there we went on two different snorkeling tours to explore the Palancar Reef. What a wonderful adventure we had at Occidental!!

During my stay at Occidental Cozumel, I experienced a blend of pros and cons. On the downside, dining options were limited, primarily consisting of themed buffet menus. Reservations for specialty restaurants were restrictive, and you had to wait to be seated, often resulting in long lines. The dining venues felt hot due to air conditioning issues, though this was eventually resolved. Additionally, the beds were quite hard, affecting comfort, and finding meal locations was cumbersome, as staff often seemed unsure. Kid-friendly options were also lacking, with my toddler mostly eating fruit. Conversely, the resort featured stunning lush greenery, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff enhancing our experience. The pool was well-maintained, and the private beach was beautiful. My room was comfortable and updated, with efficient cleaning service. For off-resort dining, Alberto's nearby offered delicious food and live music, while La Mission in Central Market had amazing seafood worth the $20 taxi ride. In conclusion, while Occidental Cozumel has its drawbacks, such as dining variety and comfort issues, its beautiful grounds and outstanding service make it ideal for a quiet retreat.

Absolutely beautiful resort with fantastic staff. We read reviews regarding difficulties in getting reservations for dinner. We booked the Royal level and I highly recommend this if you have the ability. We had reservations for all 7 nights and ate at all restaurants at least once. The Royal level team was amazing and truly treated us as royalty! That being said the entire resort goes out of their way to make your vacation the best you have experienced. From our welcome from Johnny to our final goodby from Tony we were made to feel like familia! Also had a great experience renting a jeep and cruising Cozumel, the locals were extremely gracious in sharing their home with us. Great experience!
