One of my family’s happy places. The inn has a great aura of history to it and they capitalize on this with their various activities. This time my family did the Christmas tram tour out to Santa’s workshop on the golf island. So rustic and fun. We highly recommend Shawnee Inn

Family Tradition
Our Thanksgiving tradition continued with our yearly trip to Shawnee Inn. It's the perfect retreat for what our family desires on this holiday, combining history with good old fashioned hospitality. Also loved seeing golf still being played with the install of the permanent bridge. We will be back undoubtedly.

We had a nice stay at the resort! The property is beautiful and the main building at the resort is gorgeous. Our room was in the Delaware Lodge, was not what we expected. The room needs to be updated in many different ways. There were cracks in the walls/paint, the room needed to be cleaned better and the air/heated needs is old. The bed mattress was very uncomfortable and the bed frame was creaky. The bathrooms have been renvotated but not completely finished with spackle still on the walls. The walls are very thin, we could hear the conversations of the person next to us. The restaurants and dining options were delicious and the staff was amazing there! There were many different options for food. The spa was very nice and clean. I would live to stay at this resort but in a different building for a room!

This resort is in such a beautiful location, has great amenities and activities, the Gem & Keystone's food is fantastic, and the staff - Everyone from front desk to maintenance to restaurant staff, is incredible. You really feel at home, each person remembered me and greeted my my name throughout the weekend - Very special. Big props to Iris at the front desk who was extra special during our stay to make sure we were comfortable. But the rooms... They are awful. I don't think a single thing has been changed or upgraded since my mom worked here in the 70s. There are gauges, scratches and stains all over the walls, peeling paint, stains in bathtubs and what appeared to be mold. The bathroom doesn't even look the same as what's advertised on their web site. Especially in the Lodge near the street. We had one room in the main hotel building, and one in the lodge so we got a good comparison. Rooms are very musty and smelly. I would bring air freshener or candles. The lodge room didn't look anything like the web site photos - I think every room may be different. This hotel has so much potential to be an incredible 4 star hotel, but the rooms need some major TLC. It seems all the attention goes to the lobby. After the first night, we begged to be moved into a different room and they did move me to a different lodge room which is by far the best room I saw.

I had not been to the Shawnee Inn since 1972. It was both nostalgic and impressive the care and updates that have been done. Their Inn is sill in a perfect riverfront setting. The bonfire attendant kept the fire lowing! Sitting around the fire looking at the river at the end of the day is a great finish to your day. The brewery, which was not there the last time I was here, is outstanding. We did ther brewery tour with Ian and h truly down joys his jobs- brewing beer and talking about brewing beer! And, he very right to be proud of the bee. Every beer we tasted was outstanding! I will definitely be back!
