Wonderful location. Walking distance to Carcassonne with parking. There is a second lot if the main one by the hotel is full. WiFi is not good unless to are a Mercure Loyalty or are paying. On vacation but had some unexpected work. Had to sit in the hotel lobby to get a decent signal. Have stayed in on other Mercure properties without WiFi issues so not sure if specific to this hotel or a program they are rolling out

Nice quant hotel within an easy walk to walled medieval city that offers many dining options as does the area outside of the walled city. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. It's clean and well maintained with a nice indoor and outside eating area. Rooms were on the smaller side which is typical for older properties in Europe. Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel is within 5 minute walk of the Narbonne Gate of the medieval citadel of Carcassone. We had a lovely view of this amazing fortification from our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was charming and very good. Absolutely perfect location if you are driving.

Air conditioning issues

Spent two nights at the hotel spoilt by poor air conditioning in our room which despite requests to reception was not rectified. Otherwise a good hotel in an excellent location. The outdoor area was most welcome.

Excellent location. Good value.

Excellent location very close to the walled city and with easy included parking. Easy check-in in an attractive lobby. Well appointed comfortable rooms complete with slippers and robes. Openable Windows, comfortable bed and pillows. However in our room, and especially in our bathroom, the lighting was poor and needs improvement. Also shower controls were confusing and a lack of grab bars makes showering dangerous. That said , the shower/tub design seems normal based on the many hotels we’ve stayed in in much of Europe. (I just don't understand the half-door separating the shower/tub from the bathroom.) Also no easy access to soap dispenser from seated position in tub. Restaurant pretty good for dinner. We didn’t have their breakfast. It was raining lightly during our visit and as such we were disappointed that the hotel did not have umbrellas to loan.
