We stayed at this hotel recently, and unfortunately, it was a rather noisy experience due to ongoing construction. The drilling began early in the morning and the noise level was so high we had to cover our ears, making it impossible to enjoy any sense of peace during what was meant to be a relaxing holiday stay. While there was a notice posted in the lift, there wasn’t enough prior communication before our arrival, leaving us unprepared for the disruption.
In my view, this situation was particularly challenging for families with kids, as the excessive noise could have made it difficult for children to sleep, relax, or fully enjoy their stay. The hotel really should have anticipated the impact this would have on guests and provided better solutions or alternatives. The site manager also should have implemented a noise reduction plan to lower the sound level and minimise the disturbance for guests.
To be fair, we understand that construction work is necessary, but scheduling such disruptive activities during the holiday period was poorly thought out. This kind of disturbance is far from what we expected, and it's certainly not something we’d want to experience again.
This could have been a great stay, but the construction noise, lack of foresight, and insufficient planning really overshadowed everything else. We hope the management and site team take steps to communicate better with guests and implement effective noise management strategies in the future.
