Great hotel in a central location for the city.

Great location, really close to the city centre. Well equipped gym and nice bar & restaurant. Breakfast was very good. Great Indian restaurant across the road called 29 Streets. Car park directly opposite made it easy to park when we turned up at 8pm.

We ended up staying the same time as the US women's rugby team and they gave my 18 month old daughter a standing Ovation along with the team as we were leaving! It was very cute. Hotel staff was friendly and kind. We loved our stay.

Lovely location but not able to contact reception

Lovely location. Reception staff helpful on early arrival to York and we were allowed to store our bags. Unfortunately no fridge in room. Scuffed stained inside of bath. No hair conditioner! Had to get out the shower attempted to call reception and house keeping a few times with no answer. My son had to go down to the reception to ask for some and then it was delivered to the room by room service, this was no good not being able to get ahold of reception or house keeping via room phone let alone not having any in the room in the first place. Very disappointing. Able to also store bags before our departure home.

My stay was terrible. The stuff at the hotel was very rude and ignorant and the room wasn’t up too much round the bath. There was a lot of lime scare. It needs a lot doing to but I wasn’t impressed with the bouncers on the doors. I thought that was very intimidating.

Nice simple hotel with nice rooms and breakfast. We suffered from noisy neighbours in our hall however and with a young family this was not ideal. The walls seem to be thin!

Firstly, hotel is very central but not worth the money. We paid nearly £400 for 2 nights B&B. Breakfast was not the usual Hilton standard and quite poor. Parking was an additional £30 per night. Our total spend being £460.

Nice stay but could have better.

Nice Hotel overall. Was able to use the valet service to park which was straight forward. We arrived early but the room was ready so we had an earlier check in. Room clean and glad of air conditioning as it was very hot when we went. Didn't use the restaurant or the bar but did look nice. Table lamp not working but we managed without. Tea and coffee making facilities available but is stored on a shelf under the desk so not easy to get out. Not a lot of places for clothes etc. but we were only there for 2 nights so it would only be a problem if you were staying longer. Wardrobe had iron and ironing board and large safe so not much hanging space. Only 1 shelf for other clothes. Shower could have been better. Not very powerful and not a lot of room to move about. We paid extra for the balcony but although the view was nice, there was no privacy between us and the other rooms just a railing. When they were sitting outside they were extremely close so we ended up not sitting out there at all. A partition of some sort should be in place if you want to sit outside at the same time. This was disappointing because of the nice weather we feel we missed out, especially with the extra cost. The staff at reception were very helpful and professional. We didn't have contact with any of the other staff during our visit.
