The hotel is under renovations (not advertised when booking) so it was a mess. We booked a double room and got a king. First night we had an ice cold shower. When I brought this to front desk attention they just said “oh yeah due to the renovations you might have to run the water for 10-15 minutes first”. We did get changed to a different room the second night and that shower didn’t drain. We were right across from the elevator and woken due to the constant noise. Front desk offered me IHG points (not interested). I almost always stay at a Holiday Inn Express and this was the worst one.

This hotel has excellent staff! Special shout-out to Dee-Dee who was so helpful and friendly, The hotel is undergoing renovations and the water was not hot for showers. However,the location is good and very safe area, There are workmen there early in the morning and the renovations go until March. Professional staff at desk and in the other areas;very courteous.

I made the reservation through Hotels.com which I frequently use. There was no mention of the major construction that was underway at this Hotel. The staff did everything they could to help but the Hotel was noisy and we we had to move rooms. The construction crews apparently shut off the hot water etc. Overall Holiday Inn Express's are good and this one likely will be after the interior remodel is done.

The property was being worked on and the noise was frustrating. It didn't last long but it was frustrating. The bathtub was clogged or just running slow when I showered.

Staff was awesome
We had a great one night stay here. The front desk person was absolutely amazing-so welcoming and helpful. I wish I could remember her name because she truly made our experience special. The room was clean and comfy, perfect for our needs. Highly recommend for anyone needing a short stay.

Unexpected stay
Everything was exceptional from check-in to check-out. My husband and daughter stayed here when I was admitted to the hospital. The staff was amazing. And the rooms were clean. Shout out to Ms. Dee Dee in the breakfast area. Thank you for making my daughter's stay so easy. She really looked forward to seeing you.

The room was filthy. We arrived and there was no one at the front desk. 3 other people were also trying to check in. We walked all over the downstairs trying find an employee with no luck. After 30 minutes of calling all the Holiday Inn reservation line and the hotel with no one replying the person walked in. The employee had left the property and she came with her child who then wanted her attention as all of us were trying to get checked in. She said sorry and tried to move forward but kept stopping to attend to her small child. Horrible hotel will never go back. Dirty and terrible service. - 10 stars

This might have been my worst experience with HI Express. The first room I was given had obvious water damage with paint peeling from the ceiling. When I asked for another room, I was told it was an old building and the next room may not be any better. It was but still had some ceiling paint peeling. Breakfast options were not that great either.
