Staff, clean rooms, location
Kelly, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely little hotel

It’s a great locale right near the train station. Old school European train station hotel. Really nice & I bet it is fun there for the Christmas Holidays! Staff is very helpful.
Kellie A, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nice clean rooms friendly staff. Only issue is no lift from ground floor to first floor.
Anand, 1-night trip

Everyone was very friendly and room was lovely. We throughly enjoyed our dinner, as well! Would stay here again!
Teresa, 1-night trip

Lucille, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Wonderful location - central to so many things in Edinburgh...very pleased with our stay there
Bayne Joseph, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location right near to Waverley station. Rooms are very small with some awkward configurations. Lack of fridge and room safe are areas that are simple to improve overall room facilities. Lift is so small that even one person and luggage is a tight fit. Overall service experience across hotel was average
David, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great location

Perfect location. Close to everything. Old school hotel but not old inside. I loved it!
Patrick, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Large room, very centrally located, close to the Tram.
Patricia, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nice hotel with great location. Very short walk to the train station, tram, and airport shuttle bus. Not far from historic Old Town section. Near numerous dining and pub options on Rose Street.
Sam, 4-night trip

Great location and friendly staff
Tianshu, 3-night trip

Jennifer, 3-night trip

Could not have been more perfect. Would recommend. Staff is super helpful and kind. Exactly where we wanted to be for dining, museums and a lovely park.
Hannah, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Birthday in Edinburgh.

Love this hotel. The views of Edinburgh are amazing. The staff are always friendly and the hotel itself is fantastic. Food is spot on too.
Mark, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great location between Old Town and New Town, close to the train station and walking distance from main attractions.
John, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great older hotel near everything

Great older hotel near everything. Bed was comfortable, the room average size for an older downtown hotel. Breakfast was a good, typical, UK hotel breakfast.
James, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent location

Our third time staying at this hotel. It cannot be beat for location, has an excellent breakfast buffet, and a well-stocked and well-priced bar/lounge area for afternoons and evenings.
Maria Miland, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

It was an ok but old building. The floors cracked and elevators were not working all the way down so we had to carry luggage up and down stairs. The only good thing was the location
Katya, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Near rail station which attracts noise and misc activity. Can be noisy at times. Basic tourist level hotel. Staff was nice and helpful but properly is a bit worn. Staff works hard in daily cleaning and room turnover.
Thomas, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

View from our room was very impressive. Cleaning staff was not shy about yelling to each other from floor to floor which could be quite annoying in the mornings. Location was great and very convenient.
Shawn, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The Old Waverly was conveniently located, nicely updated and well priced. Colin from Front Desk went above and beyond to help us with our luggage back to the train!
Heather, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Good Location, and good prices. Shower was poor and temperature would go from freezing to very hot.
Jamie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice central location, a little dated but given its age still in very good condition. Worth the money. Very comfy bed.
Stephen, 1-night trip
