The location of the hotel is relatively easy to find. The hotel's facilities are a bit outdated. The carpet didn't feel clean. There are many tents set up by the homeless on the roadside around, and the environment is not good.

I never write reviews for anything, but I have so much to say about this dumpster called a "hotel." We're not some rich family expecting a royal place to stay. We aren't picky and had low expectations; we just needed a place to temporarily stay for graduation. Somehow, this could not meet even the smallest of those needs. For one, the parking garage is so crowded and small. It is almost impossible to park an SUV. The area surrounding it is dangerous and unsafe. The elevator in the parking garage has a max capacity of 4 persons or 1,500 pounds, and felt incredibly unsafe. Lo and behold, the inspection for it is expired. You cannot access the fourth floor through the lobby elevator. You need to go through the parking garage, and take this God forsaken elevator. There are no water fountains; you have to go all the way down to the lobby to get water. The bath towels felt brittle to touch and smelled like they were barely washed with water. The hallways were either boiling hot or freezing cold, depending on whether the A/C decided to work that day. The "pool" is useless and only burdens your stay cost because no one should be swimming in that thing. If you have a family and care about the safety of your children (and yourself), just don't. If you are alone and literally only need a place to sleep, I'd still urge you to find something else. Honorable mention: we still haven't gotten our security deposit back! TL;DR: This "hotel" is an abomination to the word "hotel."

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, slept really good at night because there were no sirens and loud noises coming from the neighborhood. I basically just use the room none of the other areas or even the food that they have in the lobby. If you’re going in for business or pleasure this is a great hotel to stay at. The staff were very friendly whenever I needed help.

The entire place needs to updated. Our room had a very musty odor. We used Lysol to attempt to get rid of it. Our fellow travelers were not so fortunate. Their room was veey smoky. We said something and they made a note so we would've be charged a smoking fee. The difference in rooms were a tale of two cities. Our room had a safe, microwave, fridge and a pretty good size TV. The TV in their room was half the size and they had no microwave. We paid the same price. Cleanliness...not too bad. We would have left if it was disgusting. Read the reviews....all of them. I wouldn’t let the photos sway you.

I arrived in LA for the LA Times Festival of Books. The Live Hotel was very close to the USC campus where the event was being held. The staff at Live was friendly and accommodating and I felt at home and looked forward to getting back to my comfortable room at the end of a series of long days!
