Scruffy. Noisy. Avoid.
Was greeted by reception having been trashed by an irate guest. Photos are not representative of the hotel. The whole place needs a refurbishment. The rooms are basic to the point of minimal. Unfortunately cheap nasty towels provided and room has had a basic clean. No real attention to detail. The room door is flimsy and light pours in from the corridor at night due to the gaps around the door.
The main issue is noise. I expected a certain amount of road noise due the large overpass outside but main issue was noise in the hotel. Noisy guests with no consideration for others but noise throughout the night and especially early morning from whatever the staff were doing. I’ve never experienced anything like it at a hotel before.
I had to turn the a/c off at night as it was like having a car revving up in the room.
Bed was fairly comfortable apart from the thin sheets covering a thick plastic covering over the mattress.
Overall very disappointed. I was looking for somewhere that I could use again when visiting New York but will be avoiding booking here.
